About This Class

After an introductory video explaining abstract art with examples from art history, 6 lessons are presented in separate videos -covering my own examples of abstract photography and theme 1 Abstract Sky; Abstract Nature; Abstract Water; Abstract Light; Constructed Abstract and lastly Filtered Abstract.

Though abundant examples and clear guidance in simple techniques, along with tips and tricks, students will discover how to use a low tech style in a no pressure format, in order to access the magic of abstract photography.

Awesome class!

The Best is Yet to Come!

Lots of inspiring example photographies to illustrate every lesson and detailed sum ups at the end of each video make it easy to find ones own topics. Greatly enjoyed this course.

I have explored a wide range of art techniques and practices over the past 40 years and have completed formal studies to the level of Master of Fine Arts. As a child, my first love was photography and now I have come full circle, back to the magic of the image frozen in time. Abstract art is also a favourite and I enjoy transferring the qualities of that style across various art forms -painting, sculpture, video and photography.

I have been employed at various educational levels as an art educator. It is great to have an opportunity to inspire others.
