About This Class

Mistakes are an unavoidable part of learning process. In the photography, before you are comfortable with your camera, before you know the light and composition, you will make some mistakes. But as in any other area, some mistakes in photography are more common than the others, and knowing those, can help you overcome them faster, and, hopefully learn from them.

In this class I gathered my top 12 mistakes. The ones I encountered most often, while I was learning photography or saw made by others. By the end of this class you will know about most common mistakes and how to deal with them.

Great! Super helpful - but I'm soooo hungry now!
Great class! Simple but powerful pointers -- this will help my shooting for even the simplest images. Thanks!
Really nice class - mistakes are very relatable. All points presents can be used as little mental notes before taking any picture.

Mariya Popandopulo

Hi! My name is Mariya and I am photographer and illustrator based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

I’m that typical example of education/career choice mismatch =) I graduated with degree in Economics and then took MSc in Finance.

I worked for two years in Big 4 company in a department of valuations. During that time I have learned how to appraise a house, a business and even an oil storage unit. Great times =)

However I always loved to do something creative. So for about 5 years now I work as a photographer.

Two areas that I'm mostly interested in are still life and portraits. In portraits I specialize in female portraiture.

I truly believe that photography is a skill that is important in modern life - Instagram became a regular part of our lives, many sell their items on the web, many blog and everywhere good pictures are needed. And I think, that with some knowledge and advice anyone can make good pictures.

Currently I am also very interested in illustrations and graphic design. It’s a constant learning journey and I love to learn something new

My preferred social media currently is Instagram (no surprise here =D)
