About This Class

Creating repeating patterns is one of the most exciting things to do with your illustrations and, once you learn how to do it, you can´t stop!

In this class you´ll learn how to use your watercolor illustrations to make seamless repeating patterns by using a simple technique in Adobe® Photoshop® software.  You will also learn how to clean up your scans, create the pattern tile, test your pattern repeat and create alternate colorways.

This class is geared towards anyone that is curious about pattern design. You need a basic knowledge of Adobe® Photoshop® software to follow along.

saludos todos

I've taken many pattern making classes and yours is, by far, the best I've taken! Not only is it broken down into easy step-by-step bits, but you walk us thru them multiple times. Thank you for such an awesome class! I'm feeling compelled now to proceed with my hopes of textile design.

Sandra Bowers

Freelance Illustrator+ Surface Pattern Designer

I'm Sandra Bowers, I'm a Freelance Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer based in BC, Canada. I'm originally from the beautiful Medellin, Colombia, where it's springtime all year round!

I have very big eyes and I love animals, specially dogs.  Most of my inspiration comes from nature and animals, so I'm lucky to live in a place where I can sit in the garden and watch many free animals come close enough to admire (coyotes, raccoons, bunnies and many many birds!).

I create illustrations and patterns for companies to put on their product or promote their brands and I also create art for my own line of products (available soon in Canada and the US).
