About This Class

In this class we will be introducing the open source 3D modelling software Blender, as well as looking at the basic setup, modelling tools, lighting and rendering of scenes.

If you have never ventured into 3D modelling or computer 3D Graphics before then this class will give you everything you need to know to get started and move onto more advanced classes where we will create exciting scenes, such as characters from movies, and photo realistic life like renders.

Once you are done with this introduction why not try modelling the Pepsi Perfect Bottle class found here :- http://skl.sh/1YXO3GR

If you are ike me... never used Blender before but are software lliterate and very patient ... then this introductory course is quite good for a free course. The first four lessons are well spoken, and yes you can expect to replay sections over and over again but then Blender is a complicated software package. The fifth lesson, on rendering, was (for me) more difficult and I'll need to redo it, but with patience I have no doubt that the instructions given are comprehensive enough for me to succeed. BTW, I downloaded a Blender shortcut guide and having this by my side, definitely improved following the video instructions.
A really nice introduction, it allowed me to create something after watching this one and the one of the cola bottle. I never used blender before, and there is a lot more to learn and practice. (I have limited experience in Cinema 4D Lite) Definitive a nice place to start.
