About This Class

In this class you will learn to use InDesign to create a photo announcement postcard.

This class is great for anyone who wants to make magazine, newspaper, or newsletter layouts, cards, reports, etc., for their professional life, or just for some fun.

This class is aimed at beginners who have little to no knowledge in InDesign, but could also be a good refresher for someone who hasn't used it in a while. You might learn something new!

This class will cover placing photos and text, using margins, columns, and bleed, and exporting for print.

I have an honours BFA from the University of Toronto in Art & Art History and a Diploma of Fine Arts with honours from Sheridan College. That's Canadian speak for two four year degrees.

After graduating I worked as an artist and later as project facillitator for the City of Toronto Banner and Mural Project where I designed and painted murals, and promoted the program as a whole.

I had always wanted to travel, so when a friend of mine moved to Australia, I decided to go visit. It somehow worked out to be cheaper to get an around the world ticket valid for a year, so I did. One thing led to another and I've been travelling and working abroad for 10 years now. After a year in Australia I moved to Taiwan and taught ESL. I've been making art, showing art, and designing things the whole way through.

I met my husband abroad and we now reside in his hometown of Oklahoma City, OK.
