There is an absolute ton of content in this class. I recommend taking notes so you can go back and do the exercises without having to re-watch the videos. My only complaint is that I can't always see what she's doing because of the angle of the camera. I'd also like to see the work more close up if possible. Finally, if you added some printable examples or lists of tools, etc, that would be very useful indeed. Definitely a highly recommended class.
A perfect place to start for anyone wanting to learn hand lettering! This walks you through the whole creative process and gives you a base of knowledge so its easy to move not o more advanced design.
The class gave a professional work flow for creating high-quality hand-lettered projects. I can see myself using these steps to create work for actual clients.

My name is Mary Kate McDevitt, and I've been working as a full time freelance letterer since 2010. I've had the privilege of working for a number of great clients, including Nintendo, Sesame Street, Nike, O Magazine, Chronicle Books and CMYK Magazine and more. I take on a variety of projects; everything from editorial illustrations to headlines for advertising, to book covers, journals, posters, wine labels, and products.

I live and work in Brooklyn, NY with my boyfriend, the screen printer Fred DiMeglio, and my fluffy cat Peppy Mew Mew.
