Mary Kate is so professional and provides great detail throughout the training. I am a rank beginner and have wanted to learn lettering. She is an inspiration and I will continue to work at it. Thank you!
I have zero knowledge about lettering and just wanted to see what it was all about. I've not been very creatively active the last couple of years and want to change that. This class has definitely opened my eyes to all the possibilities and how I could do great things going forth and have fun working on projects like these. I've decided to make my new year's resolutions like this so that I definitely don't forget them. :) Thank you for the great class.
My name is Mary Kate McDevitt, and I've been working as a full time freelance letterer since 2010. I've had the privilege of working for a number of great clients, including Nintendo, Sesame Street, Nike, O Magazine, Chronicle Books and CMYK Magazine and more. I take on a variety of projects; everything from editorial illustrations to headlines for advertising, to book covers, journals, posters, wine labels, and products.
I live and work in Brooklyn, NY with my boyfriend, the screen printer Fred DiMeglio, and my fluffy cat Peppy Mew Mew.
