About This Class

The voicing of ideas is crucial to graphic design. By creating political/social posters, the beginning to change and progress can occur.

In this class, the design process is applied to creating a poster and then extending it into editorial design.

First, we will indentify an existing poster for inspiration. Next, we will find a quote. To design, we will combine the poster with the quote to create a unique hybrid.

To create the editorial design, the poster will/can serve as a full-page spread alongside a page with magazine qualities such as columns of placeholder text (see video for examples).

Alright, let's begin designing!

Hello! My name is Ana and I love art. I have been drawing and painting for over 7 years. I have worked as a full-time designer (and writer) for 3 years, but as of September 2016 returned to school to pursue my Master's degree. In order to stay involved in the design and arts world, I aim to regularly post classes on SkillShare and help fellow designers and artists in any way possible.
