About This Class

In this class I'll show you my own method for creating a "double exposure" portrait in After Effects. You'll learn how to blend photographs together for this unique film effect. Once you understand the basic compositing techniques you'll be on your way to creating cool double-exposure effects with photographs and videos and building on to your motion graphics tool kit.

Additionally, you can go a step further and add a simple animation to the blended layers to make your portrait come alive.

A little bit about me, I started out working at Nickelodeon on a children's television show called "Yo Gabba Gabba!". It was my summer internship and had the opportunity of a lifetime. Working in children's television had a huge impact on me as a student, professional and as an artist.

Since starting my professional career I've animated for clients like  HGTV, NateGeo Wild, The History Channel, Honda, Appartments.com, Intuit and even worked on some Superbowl commercials.

I currently reside in Ventura CA where I work from home as a freelancer full-time.
