About This Class

ff0f2883

Designing Online Images is a course where you create designs over the top of existing photos using:

  • The Rule of Thirds,
  • The Rule of Odds; and,
  • The Rule of Space.

The key objective is to create designs that can be used for:

  • posts on a website (personal blog or a business)
  • social media feeds
  • personal portfolio.

Or you can use these designs for all of the above.

The tool of choice is Sketch, however, you can follow along in Illustrator or Photoshop as the same principles apply. You can even use Keynote and Powerpoint (but the results will not look as polished).

You can download a free trial of Sketch and use it for the trial period to achieve the desired results.

Now if you want to try a new tool that's a little bit different, you can also use Canva (but you might have some challenges designing e.g. breaking images into 9 equal parts for Rule of Thirds).

AND of course, you can apply these rules in photography, which is the most common use case.

You can reach me through the class forum or on twitter:[email protected]

I am quite sociable and you can also interact through IG:[email protected] and my blog: http://thoughtsbypc.com/
