About This Class

Love art and want to learn a few new techniques?  This is the course for you.  In this course, you will learn how to paint like the Austrian artist, Gustave Klimt.  He created beautiful paintings with varied designs using bold colours and gold.  He is best know for his figures with flowing dresses filled with patterns and designs.  I will show you how to make your own version of a Klimt painting step-by-step.  We will start with a drawing, transfer it then add paint. Adding gold is the last step.  You will finish with a figure with beautiful dress and a patterned background.   Come paint with me.  We will have fun!

This was my first Skillshare class and I loved it! I have some art background so I needed more of a guidance than a follow the instructions to a T, and this is what this class offers. You can, of course, copy what the teacher does, but I enjoyed the creative freedom she encouraged.
