I roast coffee at home, I've read some guides and talked to a few people for pointers on how to make a good cup, and done a lot of trial and error experimentation. I feel this video guide by Blue Bottle does an exceptional job communicating the important points, and even a little bit beyond the critical information, without getting boring or dwelling on details. This is an outstanding overview on how to make a great cup from start to finish!
Michael Phillips is the Director of Training at Blue Bottle and 2010 world barista champion. He is responsible for managing the Blue Bottle training program internationally, ensuring that the team constantly produces the world's most hospitality-focused and talented baristas.
