About This Class

Industrial sweet bread spreads and jams contain a lot of sugar and some of them also a lot of fat. So you can imagine that they are not the perfect meal to start the day or have it in your or your kid's lunchbox.

However, it is very easy to make some healthier homemade alternatives that taste as delicious (or even better). That is, what you will learn in this course. 

I will give you an overview about healthier alternatives to sugar and industrial fat and teach you how to prepare three specific bread spreads.

The recipies included are: 

  • Turkish Hazelnut Spread (We got to know this when we spent some weeks in Istanbul and the whole family loves it!)
  • Chocolate-Almond-Cream
  • Rasberry Chia Jam 

The spreads are not only yummy on a bread, but you can also use them as a topping for yoghurts, muesli (cereals), overnight oats, pancakes, french toast or waffles. (And I could die for banana with Chocolate-Almond-Cream as a Snack. :D  )

After attending my class you will know more about sugar alternatives and the positive effects of the other ingredients in my recipes. You will know about possible variations and uses and hopefully have a healthier breakfast every day from now on.

Amazing way how to prepare something what you will really like and you can eat it without remorses :) Videos from Sonja are really helpfull, everything is clear and nice explained. Ideas are very interesting, I found out a lot of new things. If you have any questions she will answer it very quickly and gladly. I love sweets and this way of preparing sweets in the healthy way is the best! I absolutely recommend this class from Sonja to everyone!

In my primary business I organize Online Mastermind Groups for female (online) entrepreneurs. But I have many more passions...


When I had the (newsletter indicated) idea to teach a skillshare class, I asked myself "What can I teach?" - Because I am a person with a ton of interest that keep on changing throughout my live. What am I good enough at to teach it?

But soon I knew... there is one passion I have never stopped since it developed, when I was 7 or 8 years old: cooking and baking. 

I still remember as if it was yesterday, the baking book I found in the school library, which started my passion. I still have at least one recipe from this book. I even know it by heart. 

Later I went to a highschool which among other things focused on cooking and nutrition. I have tons of cook books and a lot of books about nutrition and diet. I've tried a lot of different forms of nutrition, but I didn't stick to one and against better knowledge, I tend to eat too much and too sweet. (Just that you know, why I teach classes about healthy food, altough I am overweight. :D )

Now I have published my first own class: Three Healthy And Easily Made Alternatives To Jam And Nutella. and I'm working on my second one about "Sugarfree Apple Hazelnut Waffles (can be pancakes as well)".

One of my other passions is learning new skills. So since the day Nathalie from Pimp your Visuals brought me to skillshare, I haven't spent a day without watching classes and working on projects.
