About This Class

This class will teach you a trendy watercolour technique applied to sugar.  You will learn how to prepare your canvas, mix your colours (with the magic ingredient), and apply a couple easy but impressive techniques.  When you complete this course, you will have created delightful custom cake or cupcake toppers for any occasion.

The great thing about cake is that it's meant to be shared!

Do you know someone with a birthday coming up?  Or maybe someone who just had a huge accomplishment?  Or maybe you just want to remind someone how rad they are (Yes, I just used the word rad!).  With this project you not only will learn a cool and impressive technique, but you will get the chance to make someone feel super special.  And more than likely they will share with you; Win-Win! The great thing about cake is that it is meant to be shared :)

Tobi Goldspink

Cake Designer and Maker.

A cake designer by trade, but love to dabble in all things creative.  I started out self-taught and got a job as a decorator in a bakery.  Over the few years I was there, I became the head decorator. When I stopped learning at that job, I went back to school to Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Art to learn Designer Cakes.  After completing my program, I became at Teacher's Assistant at the college and opened my own custom cake shop.  Since then, I only take large custom orders.  I love working for myself because it allows me to make time for all my other creative endeavours!
