About This Class

Thank you for joining me! In this class, I will teach you how to make your own weaving sticks from simple and inexpensive materials. These sticks are my best-seller in my Etsy Shop, but why wait for them to be shipped when you can make your own in an hour or two.

I have made myself sets in different sizes, but in this class I will be using 3/8" craft sticks, which are available at most craft stores or the craft section in your local Dollar Store.

For those who have taken my first class, Learn to Spin Your Own Yarn, this is a great way to show off your yarn.

This technique is awesome! I've tried weaving narrow strips and they always cave in toward the middle getting narrower as I go. This eliminates the pulling into the middle! I'm excited to make my own set!

Diane Ziomek

Writer/Fiber Artist NotJustAlpaca on Etsy

Diane Ziomek is an Indie Author and Fiber Artist. Her love of crafts began at an early age when her grandmother taught her how to knit, crochet and sew. Through the years she did a variety of crafts, but always went back to crochet. When her children were young she operated a mail-order fabric business and provided custom quilting services.

After a major life change in 2005, she pursued her dream of becoming a writer. She began writing online, and in 2012 she self-published the first of several works of nonfiction and fiction, which can be found on Amazon, Kobo and Lulu.

Her writing abilities, craft skills and drive for a better life have been combined to design patterns, write books and share her love of fiber arts with others as a teacher on Skillshare. In addition to being a part-time library assistant, Diane sells her crafts and writing services in her Etsy Shop.

Her YouTube channel is a combination of writing, crafts and fun. She can also be found on Instagram where she shares the many aspects of her life.
