In this class you will learn:

  • Create a drawstring backpack
  • Form a casing
  • Run ribbon through a casing
  • Measure and mark your fabric
  • Learn how to use a seam gauge
  • Learn how to use the Dritz Easy Hem
  • You will learn how to finish your seams with Pinking shears to avoid fraying 
  • You will learn how to finish your seams with a zig-zag stitch to avoid fraying 

Not only will you come away with your own drawstring backpack, but you will also gain the knowledge and confidence to try more advanced sewing projects that require casings and hems.
