About This Class

Discover an easy way to make a lovely, Hawaiian-style ribbon lei!

In Hawaii, lei are given for graduations, birthdays, congratulations, or any other time you wish to celebrate or make the recipient feel special. Actually, you don't even really need a reason to wear a lei! Give or wear a lei yourself just to make the day feel a little more special. =)

Traditional lei are made from flowers, leaves, feathers, nuts, and shells, but ribbon lei are also very popular. Ribbon lei do not shed, stain,  have the potential to trigger allergies, or fade with time, so they are a fantastic choice whenever you want to gift a lei.

In this class, you'll learn a simple way to make a beautiful spiral ribbon lei. Even if you've never sewn anything by hand, the simple tricks I show will help you make a lovely spiral ribbon lei!
