About This Class

Learn how easy it is to repurpose vintage books for making your own unique journals. We begin by deconstructing a found book. Then I cover important tips and tricks for creating new journal pages using your preferred paper so your journal is filled with your favourite textures and colors. Finally, you'll learn a simple long-stitch method to bind your pages into their cover. With these skills you will be able to create journals, travel diaries, scrapbooks, wedding albums, sketchbooks and more.

Love this class! It was very well organized with clear and concise sections. It was very easy and fast to review one of the steps if needed. Thank you!

Clear explanation on binding your own vintage book using any paper for the inside. This would be great for a personal touch to a journal, sketchbook, scrapbook, for yourself or as a gift. Recommended!

Hi, I'm Samantha, a self-taught artist from New Zealand.

I have been drawing, painting, and making craft projects for as long as I remember. I can never quite stick to one discipline though, I am always trying new things!

I'm very happy to be a part of the Skillshare community. Not only can I share what I've learned, but I get to learn from others, too.
