About This Class

Chapter 01

In this first chapter I will explain, why it’s quite easy to start teaching on Skillshare and what are the requirements. You will be amazed how truly easy it is to start, how little time you need to create a class, how trivial it is to publish it on Skillshare.

Hello and welcome to Mastering Skillshare Series, where I will teach you, how to make Skillshare your primary source of income.

I will tell you why you should teach and I will explain why I believe that Skillshare is currently the best choice for online entrepreneurs.

My name is Jan and I am teacher myself. I started with Udemy, but recently moved to Skillshare, where I see the biggest potential for teachers to make some serious regular income that can cover considerable amount of monthly cost.

I am positive that anyone can teach. You don’t need to be an expert to start. Actually I strongly believe that experts aren’t great teachers, because they consider a lot of rather complicated stuff too obvious to waste their time with it.

If you think about it, you will be a successful teacher if you know just a little bit more than your potential student. Just a little bit.

I will explain why Skillshare is better than Udemy, but the most important difference between those two platforms is their business model.

You will find out in this class that Skillshare's subscription-based solution is better for you as a teacher.

I divided this class into short individual chapters, so you can consume it whenever you have 10 minutes of free time.

In these chapters I will cover all the important aspects of successful teaching on Skillshare including:

  • Technical requirements for quality content
  • Best practices for publishing
  • How to successfully promote your classes
  • How to calculate your monthly income and more

If you ever wanted to achieve financial freedom, to do what you like most, to quit your boring job one day, enroll in this class and let me show you how you can achieve all this with Skillshare as an online teacher.

I can’t wait to see you inside, take this first little, yet important step and acquire the skill of making serious money online.

The class is great. I just wonder eg if a designer should teach html, anyone should teach what he is passionate about. I know you want to show people that anyone can teach anything and I'm a strong believer in that - however, what you definitely need is passion for your subject. Dont you think? Still, your class is great though. I finally figured that I should just teach in English rather than in German

7 Rules For Success Of Online Instructors

I started my IT career as a Pascal programming language student in 1994. Later I discovered the potential of the web and co-founded WEBXP company with my colleague, where we offered websites and web applications for local businesses.

In 2000 I started working for a German-based company Caatoosee, where I was the part of a team creating the top of the line web shop for than famous Breuninger Mode & Beauty online kaufen. I focused primarily on DHTML, Javascript, CSS for static websites and PHP with MySQL for dynamic apps.

At that time I also started my very own LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) project and designed, developed and published one of the first so-called discussion servers, that were very popular in my country years before the Facebook became the worldwide success.

In 2008 when iPhone SDK was introduced, I moved to mobile apps world and soon published my first verb dictionary for iPhone which you can still find on the App Store.

In 2015 I founded BOHEMIAPPS which evolved from simple iOS apps platform to online education program.

I love to learn new things of all sorts and I love to share more knowledge with others even more. I believe the student is only as successful in understanding the topic as the teacher is in explaining it properly. In other words - there's no bad student, only the bad instructor.

My mission is to share what I know and present it in the best possible way I can provide, so my students can benefit from it. I respect their time and I always try to do my best to bring them a quality education.

In 2016 I decided to push my mission even further with SMART PROFIT SCHOOL. I believe that everyone can teach. SMART PROFIT SCHOOL will help you start your own online teaching career. I will teach you how to teach!
