Project Description

It’s time to take all the ordinary surfaces in your world and bring them new life! In this class, we will be grabbing a handful of common materials and transforming them into artwork with unique, custom hand-lettering.

We will be using three techniques - graphite transfer, stencil and grid-mapping - to transfer simple lettering sketches onto non-paper materials. You will learn how to use brushes, calligraphy nibs and markers to create lettering on materials like wood, glass, stone, fabric… and even food!

This class will inspire you to breathe new life into everyday objects, host more thoughtful and creative parties and prepare you to help others with their hand-lettering projects for weddings and events!

Most of all - we want to see! Upload pictures of all your lettering experiments - the weirder the surface, the better!
