Project Description

By the end of this course, you will write a first draft of inspirational song lyrics, regarding a topic you care deeply about.

As a guideline, this lyric can include:

  • 2 verses - typical length is 4-6 lines
  • pre-chorus (optional) - typical length is 1-3 lines
  • chorus - typical length is 1-4 lines
  • bridge - typical length is 2-4 lines

Upload your lyrics for critique from your fellow classmates and me.  You can also upload your edited version for feedback.  Don't worry about it being spectacular the first time around.  First drafts are fine!  Remember, it's taken me 15 years to write at this level... and I'm still learning and growing.  Let's celebrate your first inspirational lyrics!  :)

Share your lyrics on your favorite social media site.  If you are, or know, an instrumentalist, feel free to put it to music and upload or post a link to a video or song!
