I’m Inez Jordan. I am a Certified Emotional Intelligence Coach and Chapter Chair for the Society of Emotional Intelligence - Chicagoland.  I am a Certified Instructional Designer for Online Education and my day job is Executive Project manager for a large technology company.  

Discover simple practices that will help you analyze your thoughts and emotions, reflect on the outcomes of past situations, and build an action plan that focuses on the Emotional Intelligence skillsets that are important to you, your success, and happiness.

How has you Emotional Intelligence Impacted Your Success and Happiness? 

This class will introduce you to Emotional Intelligence. 

What is this "buzz" word that is the latest topic of discussion?  Do you have questions about what Emotional Intelligence is or are interested in learning more about the impact your Emotional Intelligence (EQ) may have had on why you did or don’t get the job you wanted or why someone else was picked for the team instead of you? 

Do you want answers to these questions?  If so, You are in the right place.  This is a relatively short introductory course that will set the stage for learning about yourself, your thoughts and emotions, and relate your responses and behaviors to the Emotional Intelligence competencies and skillset.

Through the use of reflection practices and fun exercises, you will walk away with a high-level understanding of where you stand on the EQ scale and you will be ready to dive into the next series of courses that will guide you through each of EQ composite scales, one by one. The course series is flexible, so that you can choose the EQ competency scale that is most important to your professional and/ or personal life and build your action plan to improve.

The course goals are to:

  1. Introduce you to Emotional Intelligence(EQ)
  2. Define EQ and identify the scales and sub-scales that make up Emotional Intelligence
  3. Execute "Pause and Think" exercises for each of the 5 scales to think about what you just learned and what it means to you.
  4. Discuss the impact and benefits of Emotional Intelligence on your career and personal relationships, both past and future
  5. Practice thought-awareness and self-talk techniques
  6. Summarize what you have learned and build a plan to focus on the sub-scale that you would like to learn more about and that will be the most beneficial to your personal life or career right now.  
  7. Apply what you learned to your personal Build an action plan for next steps to success and happiness by improving your Emotional Intelligence.bf907f6e
