1. Week 4 : Introduction: Hey, guys. Welcome to Week four. Off my finger style guitar masterclass from week tree We have learned about how to find bar courts. This week we shall learn how to play bar cots clearly and effectively. 2. Week 4 : Tips and Tricks to make Bar Chords sound clear: so because require a lot of time in practice to get right. This is because finger strength requires time to develop. Remember, I have told you before that we have to place our fingers as close to the French. This is the friend as possible to make that not sound clear. So remember, if I place my fingers as far away, it's gonna bus. But if I place my fingers closer to the fret, this is the fret. It's gonna sound clear. So the same thing goes to bar carts. So for tip number one, you have to place a finger closer to the front. Next, use the site off your index finger. The bar friends. This is because many people tend to use the flat part, which is this completely to bar the court. So if I give you an example, if I use the flat part completely, it's much harder to achieve a clearer sound. Whereas if I used the site off my in that finger, you can achieve clarity in your notes to play the F got clearly and effortlessly. We can use the two tips mentioned just now, which is you have to place a finger as close to the fret. Use the site off index finger the bar. Starting with the index finger. Make sure each and every notice keen and clear before moving on. So once they're not clear, try heading the issue using the other fingers things time. Try blocking all the six drinks to see if you're not here. So let's say this particular note. Do not try to observe and think. Think about what makes it muffled and how to be corrected. The most common mistake people tend to make is that they don't press hard enough on the fret using get next finger. So if I press heart, it's good. So if I press soft gets muffle most off the time, it is due to weak finger strength to be able to develop your finger strength, I would suggest you to use the press down and release method. For example, once you have pressed on the half court, Strong wants to make sure everything is clear. Release it and press it down again. Do it for 10 times a day for one week, press release release, then increased to 20 times a day for the next week. It might be tiring at first, but you will soon developed finger strength to play bar courts effectively. It took me a few months to be able to get bar cost of sound clear to so in certain locations. Blister might form at the site off the index finger. This is a good thing because this will help you develop a layer off skin to make your fingers tougher playback ones. But do remember to rest your fingers accordingly if you feel like it is hurting badly. 3. Week 4 : Hammer On & Pull Off Techniques: hammer on pull offs and slights are the three basic techniques all guitarists should know. Hammer on is always used to step up notes. For example, if I want to play two notes from G to a treat to five, I am able to use the humble on technique to step up from G to a the's way. I will only need to plant once to be able to play two notes using the hammer on technique. So in guitar, perhaps you will see this symbol in between two notes. What about pull offs? Pull offs are the opposite off Hammer owns. It is used to step down notes. For example, if I want to play from A to G five country, I can use the pull off technique to step down from A to G. Like this thesis called the Pull Off Technique in Guitar. Perhaps you will see this symbol in between two notes, but did you notice that it looks the same for him on this? Well, yes, they both share the same symbol, however, do remember that hammer on is used only when we want to move from a lower note toe. A higher note therefore If you see this symbol, check the front number on the taps. In this case, treat to fight, which is a means hammer on and in this case, five to tree. Just eight g means pull off a tip for you. Remember to position your fingers smartly during him on and pulls. For example, treat to five. We can use the index finger on a ring finger to play Theo. Ring Finger is the one that's memory or even a pinky, so you can practice using different fingers. Develop the strength for each finger. Therefore, discover which finger works best for you. Here are some exercises for you to practice hammer ons and pulls. This technique requires good finger strength. Therefore, it is crucial to practice more to develop your finger strength. 4. Week 4 : Hammer On Pull Offs Exercise Lvl 1: 5. Week 4 : Hammer On & Pull Offs Exercise Lvl 2: 6. Week 4 : Sliding Technique: As for the sliding technique, you can I just like up slight down, sliding me hurt If your strings are rusty, Therefore, I will recommend you to use anti rust drinks, or you can oil up your strings. Sliding is similar to hammer ons and pull offs. Here is an example for you. The symbol for sliding is a slanted horizontal line like this. In this case, G 25 Using only one finger, any finger, beat the index middle or the ring finger slide up from the third. Fret to the fifth fret from dream to fight. The same thing goes for sliding down. In this example. We want to slight from five to treat. So, using only one finger to slight down from the fifth, fret to the friend can use any finger you want. Okay, this is the sliding down technique. Yes, hammer on pull offs and sleight are related to each other in guitar play. We usually combined all treat techniques together to spice up our playing. Combined this tree, basic techniques hammer on pull off its life by trying out these exercises 7. Week 4 : Sliding Exercise: E O. 8. Week 4 : Useful Tips: do better in mind that this techniques effect and change the tone and sound off the notes. So do make sure that you are using it currently inappropriately by asking yourself, Do you like the sound you're making from this technique? 9. Week 4 : Song Arranging (Part 1): have you ever wanted to create your own finger style guitar arrangement? Here is some arranging part one. Arranging the song. It's not difficult. There are only four steps to make a coup finger style guitar arrangement. Firstly, find a cut off the song. Second, get the rhythm in the courts. Correct the test that is to find a melody from the song and, lastly, at techniques to spice up your playing. Let's take Happy Birthday, for example. You have already known the court from week to Week two. You have also learned how to strong and get the rhythm correct for Happy Birthday. From the melody learned in Week one. You can at techniques learned this week, which are the slight hammer ons and pull off into your arrangements. It is good to have a variety off techniques, but do remember that sometimes less is more and more it's less, but in the end it is to up to you because it is your own arrangement. 10. Week 4 : Song Arranging Example: step number one. Let's start recapping the costs for Happy Birthday. There only treat cots in this song, so it is fairly easy. - Step two is to practice and master the melody of Happy Birthday from Week one and exercises just now. Theo and Step three start by adding the basement off the court to the melody, starting from the first box. The fourth step is to add techniques learned this week, which are hammer on, pull off and slides into your arrangement. Make sure that you are doing it from bar to bar. Do not rush it as off now you already have a very simple arrangement off Happy Birthday. To spice things up further, we can use up adjust to accompany the bass notes. What is an arpeggio and arpeggio is basically a court broken into a sequence Off notes, pieces and arpeggio sequence. Off notes does not really matter in the rich, but it can be a way to be able to play an arpeggio. You can hold the shape off the cart, for example, a D card on play. The notes within the ship way to make things simple. We can pluck from the base to highest way. If you know this, there are some notes in between the brackets. This is called ghost nodes. For example, This number five in the record means that you have to play the no softer than the other notes. This is so that it would overpower the main melody for this week. Practice and master the techniques for sliding ham on and pull off. Then proceed with making your own fingers. Not arrangement for happy, but they using the steps I've shown you. 11. Week 4 : Outro: let me know what you think about my finger style guitar masterclass so far for week one to week, for I would appreciate all kinds of feedback for me to improve in the next few weeks to come.
