1. Week 1: Introduction: Hey, guys, my name is Edward, and welcome to my finger style guitar calls. I have been playing the guitar for more than 15 years, trough my years off experience. I noticed that many people tend to jump straight into playing finger style guitar without having the basic guitar and teary knowledge. So if you find that playing and learning the guitar is hard or if you have trouble playing the guitar while singing, you have come to the right place. Therefore, in this cause, I am going to teach you what is important to become a good and flexible guitarist. Besides, I will provide you with the best tips and strategy to help you in your guitar journey. Thank you. 2. Week 1: What is fingerstyle guitar?: what is finger style guitar, finger style guitar is the style of playing the guitar where you become a one man then. So it is a combination of techniques such as slapping Harmonix from me. You know, including On Singer is the main part off the song, whereas other instruments such as bass rhythm trump, you know, are all in the background. So imagine a burrito. The melody is the meat inside the brutal and the accompaniments like drums strumming, blocking is the wrap. Their wraps the melody together so it accompanies the melody. Finger style guitar can be played on bass electric acoustic classical guitar, but I would recommend you to use an acoustic guitar to play finger stuff. So the reason why I play fingers dollars because there is no right or wrong in finger style . There are many different ways you can play finger style and be as creative s u one. Different people have different style of playing, so therefore treated as an adventure where you discover and learn new things every day. So come with me on this journey where I will teach you and got you from zero knowledge to being able to play fluently 3. Week 1: Finding your taste in fingerstyle guitar: Firstly, you will have to find your taste in finger style. This is because there are different types off finger style guitar playing. So what I would want you to do now is to look for a few fingers, tell the terrorists on YouTube and pick your favorite style playing so I can give you a few examples. So there are my doors. Alexander Misko Polje Manual, Qatar. Oh, sure, somehow, Young and the Maki and more so what you can do to improve your finger secretaries to practice and play their songs and then develop your sense off taste from their style of playing. But before being able to play their songs, you will need all these basic techniques and skills, which I will be teaching dropped my costs. 4. Week 1: Guitar Analogy: it is really important to know the name off your guitar parts. So, for example, this is the bridge. This wouldn't piss. It's your bridge. The white piece off born plastic is called a settle. And this is bridge pins. These are your friends. This is a guitar neck. Get our body. These are tuning hits, and this is the not the white piece off born here. This is important because you will be using some off these terms throughout because 5. Week 1: How to tune your guitar: so firstly, we shall start with tuning your guitar. So there are many different types off tunings in guitar playing. But the most common tuning is called standard tuning, which is the the fastest way to remember this tuning is and Frances find is the biggest off all. So it is the ficus tree. Midge is the sixth Street. So all you need is a phone Go to the APP store and Donald guitar tuning the guitar can be very confusing To know whether you have tightened or you have presented strings, you can plant the strings continuously while tending to know. So in this case, you can hear that the streets are getting tighter as the notes are getting higher for this . Tony is getting lower and you are therefore losing the strings for the top turning heads turn anti clockwise to tighten and clockwise to losing. So why do Is and Dick always tighten got wise to lose it. So for the bottom tuning hits, it is the opposite socom wise to tighten and antique otherwise to losing. So for me I use Pichler like you touching her. So what you can do now is place your phone as near as possible to your guitar and start tuning. As you can see, the APP tells you to tune up. So I do. Now is the stream continuously to see whether you have to go once it shows into can stop and move onto the next trio and you're all set to go. 6. Week 1: Guitar Posture and Finger positionings: you should be as comfortable as possible while playing the guitar tow. Avoid back aches. So by placing the guitar on your right lap. So this is the laugh. And this is the right. So by putting the guitar on your right lap, sit up straight and start playing for your right hand. Do not cover your son Ho completely position it here so that by doing this the sound comes out from the guitar four Positioning our fingers on the front. This is the first fret. This is the second fret. So if I want to say tell a friend that you will be here, friend. Otherwise you can call it as the third position. So to be able to know where to put your fingers on the front, you need to know the positioning. So this is for example, this is the friend. So the position want to treat This is the fifth position. 12345 As you know these there are thoughts on the guitar which represents took friend The 5th 7th and the night trough. Yes. Oh, So now, after knowing all of this, we shall start with simple blocking exercise to get you stop that 7. 1Week 1: Right hand fingering PIMA: on your right hand. This I call p I am so four p is the Tom I fought index finger and for middle and A is for the ring finger in finger style guitar play. Normally the pinky is not used to plus any strings, but is useful resting on the bottom. So you But like I said, you can be as creative as you want in finger style. So few free if you can try to use your pinky toe play. But normally people do not use the pinky. 8. Week 1: How do I read tabs?: So let's start with a simple exercise, which is the Tom exercise. But one question. How do I read taps? Thing of it is with the lines represents the strings. The bottom line is the six string and the top line is the first string, and the numbers on the line represents the friend. You have to press using your left hand fingers. So, for example, zero on the six string means that you don't have to press anything on your left hand and you can just block the stream using right hand thing, this is called the Open Street. 9. Week 1: P exercise : some exercise. 10. Week 1: Rest stroke & Free Stroke: before proceeding to the next exercise, you'll have to know the two types of finger picking. There is restaurant and free stroke, so restaurant is where you rest your finger on the stream. After blocking by this, it can give you more control. And it has allowed a song to the melody. So it is good for single melody lines, if you will, to collect. If someone, if you somewhat place the rhythm, you can just play, things will give you more control and allow the sound to your melody for free stroke. Your fingers are not resting on the string, but it moves through the air. It is the most commonly used technique in finger style for fluent playing, so it is like this. Now you can practice using free stroke. 11. Week 1: IM exercise: 12. Week 1: IMA exercise: 13. Week 1: PIMA exercise: 14. Week 1: Secret plucking techniques: so normally you were used Tom to play this tree strings and on then I am a will occupy the bottom three strings. We just There are no restrictions as to where your fingers should be placed. But most commonly your time should play. And your I am a fingers she played about in certain locations. You have to use your i a fingers for street number form you can even use for the trio. 15. Week 1: PIMA tonality: by experimenting around using different fingers, you'll notice that each of them will give you a different toll so your time will give you more punchy. I am a fingers. You have more control and you can play. Do make sure that your fingers are to prevent covering the bottom stream. Besides, you have to place your fingers as close to the friend s possible to make your not sound clear. So if I placed my fingers far away from the fret, it will sound buzzy clear. 16. Week 1: What is a note?: for the States, you will need to understand some basic Kerry knowledge to move onto the next stage. The lesson in next age is about major and minor cuts. To understand this court, you need to know what is a note, a skill, a key court and an octave. You might think that it is not necessary and it is a waste of time. But trust me, it is the key to prepare you for the secret guitar hack which I will be teaching you in the next few stages. So what is a note? A note represents a particular sound. So this is No, this is another noon. So, for example, just seeing this is thing this is 17. Week 1: Scales and Octaves: What is a skill? A skill is a Siri's off notes and ah kee is just a way of representing which not a skill start. So, for example, a C major skill is that's with a scene for scene and ends with From this thing it is an octave. This is an example off an octave. So if I want to say c major scale in two up days, it means And so from here on this see this? See it is to office from this loss. You know, his highest, you know, is an octave from this medium. Xeno do this even higher signal it is another octave. So it told no two octaves. 18. Happy birthday Level 1 Challenge:
