Project Description
Dessert Photos
ASSIGNMENT
Most weddings will have some type of dessert. Whether it's cake, pie, cupcakes, ice cream, or donuts, it's an important detail to photograph on the day of. Your assignment is to take 2 photos of the dessert at a wedding:
- One wide shot of the entire cake/dessert table
- One close up showing details of the cake
These photos can be taken at a wedding that you photograph, at a wedding you are attending as a guest, or at any other party or home-cooked meal that has a dessert. The goal is to practice taking photos of dessert.
In particular, look back at the lessons about Cake Cutting and Reception Details to get ideas on how to photograph the dessert table.
DELIVERABLE
2 photos: 1 wide, 1 close-up of the dessert at a wedding, party, or any meal.
