Project Description

Create a homepage prototype that drives conversions.

ASSIGNMENT

Your assignment is to design a new marketing site that will drive conversions (sign-ups) for your business or brand.

Design for the mock social media app "Simply Social" using the assets below, or design for a real-life business. You just need (1) Photoshop or Sketch and (2) a free Invision account, available at InVisionApp.com. The whole project should take you about 60-90 minutes to complete, depending on your design's complexity.

Doing this project will help you better understand the elements that matter to your design clients, and it will help with your organization and process as you grow as a designer.

DELIVERABLE

Save your final website prototype as an InVision Project, then share the (1) link and (2) screenshot(s) in the class project gallery. A completed project will include:

  • A clear user flow
  • Hero imagery
  • "About" section
  • A well-designed interface
  • "Testimonials" section
  • Sign-up form (for conversions!)
  • A social media footer

RESOURCES

Course Assets: In this Dropbox folder, you'll find images, icons, and the finished Photoshop and Sketch files to reference as you build out your project.

Links: The class references a number of InVision plugins to help you get the most out of InVision as well as photogrpahy resources to use for this project. Here are links

Big thanks to InVision designers Anton Aheichanka and Aaron Stump for the great Simply Social brand and design layout as well as icons used for this course!
