About This Class

In this course you will learn how to upcycle fabrics by weaving them into a rad back panel to sewn onto a denim Jacket. I will teach you to build a sort of simple loom & make a unique jacket that everyone is going to want. Checkout some of my designs at BeachLifeStyleStore & LifeEclectic.Net

Who this Class is For

Some knowledge of sewing experience is needed. The weaving a beginner can learn.

 

What You will Need

Light weight woven fabric than can be cut up. Old sheets, unwanted clothing, Sample garments from fashion industry, scrap fabrics from sewing project (the salvage of fabric rolls works perfectly.) Pick a range of colors that work well together. Printed or solid fabrics both work well.

  

SUPPLIES USED:

-Light weight fabric that can be cut up. Old sheets, unwanted clothing, scrap fabrics from sewing project (the salvage of fabric rolls works perfectly.) Pick a range of colors that work well together. Printed or solid fabrics both work well.

 

- ¾” x 1 ½” Wood Boards [4ft 4” Long cut into (4) 13” Long pieces]

 

- (28+) Wood Screws 1 ¼”Long

 

- (2) Metal Dowels (at least 2" longer than Jacket panel height)

  

- (4) Screw eyes

 

-Ruler / Measuring Tape

 

-Power Drill with 7/64 drill bit & Phillips head (star) driver attachment

 

-Fabric Scissors (or sharp paper scissors)

 

- Sewing Machine w/ Even Feed Walking Foot

 

-T-Pins
