About This Class

I love keeping a nature journal, but painting with watercolours in nature can be challenging, especially if you're out hiking or traveling and you're short on time. I wanted to share the many quick techniques that I've learnt to painting nature scenes in a journal but because there are so many elements to nature I decided to break them up into smaller classes.

In this class I show you how to quickly capture ripples and waves on the sea. At the end of class we paint a simple picture using the techniques learnt in class. This will give you the confidence to select a technique and paint the ocean when next you're there.

Keep an eye out for other classes in the Watercolour Nature Journaling series where we learn how to paint other elements of nature.

Great class. I’ll be saving this one to refer back to often.

That was a great class with many interesting techniques. I really liked the paper towel rolling as that was new to me, but also adding the darker shades on the waves was great. Very good to see everything come alive! Thanks, Angelique!

Let’s feel great around the camera!

Great class. I've been watercolouring for a while now, but Angelique showed me a few techniques I hadn't thought of trying. I look forward to breaking out my palette and giving them all a try!!! Thanks for a great class!
