About This Class

I love keeping a nature journal, but painting with watercolours in nature can be challenging, especially if you're out hiking or traveling and you're short on time. I wanted to share the many quick techniques that I've learnt to painting nature scenes in a journal but because there are so many elements to nature I decided to break them up into smaller classes.

In this class I show you how to quickly capture ripples and waves on the sea. At the end of class we paint a simple picture using the techniques learnt in class. This will give you the confidence to select a technique and paint the ocean when next you're there.

Keep an eye out for other classes in the Watercolour Nature Journaling series where we learn how to paint other elements of nature.

I really enjoyed this class. The teacher includes a lot of fun techniques, and explains which work better for indoor or outdoor painting. I LOVE the paper towel technique for making waves! Great class!
