About This Class

Watercolor can be fun for so many reasons. It's therapeutic, creative, experimental, and more. Watercolor: 10 Easy Projects Anyone Can Paint is just what its title says. This class brings you 10 projects that are fun, simple, and best of all, quick! You will learn to produce adorable illustrative watercolor paintings in no time flat. Because each project is broken into its own segment, this class will be perfect for those who don't have a lot of time to spend learning in one sitting.

This class also covers tonal and opacity swatches. This is the first lesson before moving into projects, and it will guide you through an easy way to produce swatches without worrying about your levels not holding up. It's a wet to dry technique, which blocks off the perfect spacing in between the addition of layers.

You will then move into guided lessons in brush control, creating leaves, using "blobs" of watercolor to create lovely illustrative work by adding ink, and special techniques using additional tools.

I love this class, really helpful, easy to follow. Strongly recommend for beginners with water color.
I loved, loved, loved this class! Did I mention that I loved this class? This is my favorite class to date of all the courses I have taken here on SkillShare. Talk about packing piles of content into one course! There is so much to do and so much to learn and add to your skills. All of the projects are a lot of fun and Peggy is a wonderful teacher. Now I am off to scour the site for more Peggy Dean classes! Do not short change yourself. If you love watercolor, especially if you are just starting out on your journey, take this class. Learning how to create the opacity and tonal swatches for your watercolor paints alone, is worth taking this class. This is something that will help you with every single project hereafter. Thanks Peggy! You're the bomb girl!
I really liked this class because it's simple enough for beginners but I suggest this class also if you're more adapt to using watercolours because the ideas are really fun and you can get really creative with them... this is the second class I followed from Peggy Dean and every time she gets me super motivated and encourages me a lot... so yes I do recommend this class and others of her too !!

The Pigeon Letters | Lettering & Illustration

I'm Peggy. I'm native to the Pacific Northwest and I love all things creative. From a young age I was dipping everything I could into the arts. I've dabbled in quite an abundance of varieties, such as ballet, fire dancing, crafting, graphic design, traditional calligraphy, hand lettering, painting with acrylics and watercolors, illustrating, creative writing, jazz, you name it. If it's something involving being artistic, I've probably cycled through it a time or two (or 700).

Today, I'm known prominently for hand lettering and my unique line illustrations. I'm thrilled to be sharing them with you!
