Project Description

Create a Waterbrush Lettered Greeting Card

ASSIGNMENT

Choose a greeting card word or phrase and hand letter it using a waterbrush! The greeting card can be anything you choose; possible examples are: Holidays, New Year’s, Birthday, Sympathy, Congratulations, Best Wishes, etc. Choose a lettering style to inspire your lettering, then execute your waterbrush lettering with ink or watercolors. Keep your phrase to 5 words or less for easy readability.

DELIVERABLE

Your project should contain the following:

  1. The word or phrase you’d like to use for your greeting card (1-5 words works best!)
  2. A brush-style font or lettering style that you’re inspired by for your card (refer to the resource pdf if you need help!)
  3. Any practice lettering work and/or card layout sketches
  4. Your final lettering on your greeting card, executed in ink or watercolor!
