Hello, I'm Mukta Changmai, a watercolor artist based in Assam(India) & professionally a Banker. I was introduced to watercolors around 10 years back & it has always been my true love since then.

I also run a watercolor blog named THE WATERCOLOR STORY, which helps beginner watercolor artists get a dose of inspiration & knowledge of the medium. 

My favourite part of watercolors is quick illustration in my journals. This is something I do whenever i feel like capturing a moment & keeping it as memory. Trust me this is such a stress-buster.

1. Introduction: What color is perhaps one of the wildest mediums in all forms of finance, the more you try to tame it more while it gets, but the beauty off it, Lezin living into its characteristics and letting it flow. My name is smoke touching My and I am a watercolour artist based in Assam, India. I am a banker by profession, but an artist by passion. I love to make a quick sketches and watercolors on my water village journals, one of the most fascinating subjects for me to paint his food. I love painting them both from photos and real life presentations off the lessons in this class we comprised off on insight into art supplies needed understanding. So by the time you finish this class, you'll be able to start painting fearlessly with water bills illustrate for painting or any still life set up. So let's get started 2. Art Supplies Required: well, illustrating it is much recommended that you have minimal toes here for the exercise. In this course, we're using some very basic art supplies. You are free to use their own choice about supplies to as long as it does not bring inconvenience to your learning process. Today, the supplies that will be using at the obvious ones, I think we'll be using Sekera qui pense. You may also use any fountain pen with waterproof black ink for paper. Well, I'll be using an artist until 300 years of 100% cotton paper. I'd said this to experiment with a few varieties of people. It takes a bit of time to finally settle on your personal choice of paper. Now, as far Sketchbook is concerned, I use only Stillman and Burns sketchbooks arm all skin water villa generals. But here again, there's plenty of room for you to experiment with many choices of anyone. I'm moving on to the brushes here again. Very particular. I'll be using art essential and rosemary. Excercise: The first wash: hi and welcome back to this lesson away will now learn a few things about rendering the first wash over drawing or maybe a sketch. Ondas I said before the proportion will be 40% paint and ah, 60% water. You need not think much during this washes except a paper. What's in between these air? Just careful, sadistic places where light is hitting the object. Hence the white paper. In this first words, I'm using a rosemary number six round sable brush to make the 1st 1 but if you're on a largest schedule, please go for bigger brushes to create the worst. Afford listless. Now, since this is an initial here, as I mentioned before, everything will look flat. And to bring death and some realism, we will have to add shadows which we learn in the next. Listen. Thank you. 6. Excercise: Adding depth with shadows & highlights: Hi and welcome back to this. Listen, we'll be continuing the painting today. Here we'll be adding shadows toe the already applied first waas the same cutters but off a takeover. Make sure for the baskets I will be using a make sure off once in a light ultramarine blue onda neutral tint, all in almost equal proportion. Maybe in you to think will be a bit less than the other two colors. I will be applying it to all the three baskets. Shadows are added to the painting. The objects in the foreground look tend to look more off a treaty kind, and it looks more realistic, more suggestive, and you can feel the motive depending. No, I'll start to it shadows to the baskets. On a more depth. These shadows will make the basket look more three dimensional for the matter. In the tree will be adding a mixture of Kingman green on the global blue little when it dries, we definitely have to add the shadows. It will also start adding shadows to them the basket. Now these baskets have retreated with more shadows, more death. On the upper left, we'll start working on the tiny jars where various jams are kept. Excercise: Finishing touches, noise & notes: way back to the final lists and indexes stays in the previous listen. We have already finished offending, but here will have a few very minute. But game changing additions to the finish, uh, will be adding the finishing touches, noise and notes just totally up to your personal preference, whether you want to go for these kills or stop the painting and my fearlessness. Personally, I have never skip this step. In my illustrations, I have added finishing touches Sprinkle pain droplets from brushes to add noise and also a did a quick note student work here. I'm redoing the lengths to make it look a bit more prominent. Generally, this step is stopped me that if you do the base painting with a fountain pen or appended beginning, But I have to very carefully not to overdo it. No, the part which I enjoy the most. Adding noise. Generally, this is a very easy step, but the choice of the most appropriate color is the most crucial factor to keep it simple and easy. Just think off which color you want to be the most dominant in the painting. For me, I would like to go for I did the color of the math and the three, which is a picture off Kingman green or simply go forward already dominant color, which is the mixture off cadmium meal of deep, deep Scarlett. In this example, let's go for the blue. Here I will take a brush with lots of painted water and random Detroit, aiming at only one area in the work. Be sure never to throw it up evenly in all parts of the painting, or else it will look very bad. Another aspect off sketchbook illustrations is adding any notes you can No, don't you experience a little information on the subject, sometimes provoke and then says the beauty of the work even more here.
