Project Description

Develop a presentation with a visual story.

ASSIGNMENT

Your project in this class is to develop a presentation using a visual story or metaphor to bring your core messages to life!

Use your Project Workspace as an ongoing place to bounce ideas, ask questions, and show your progress towards the final piece.

Personally, I always find it helpful to set myself a schedule — commit to uploading your idea today, your sketches next week, and your final presentation in 14 days.

DELIVERABLE

Share your project in your Project Workspace. Remember: The more you share your thinking, the easier it is for fellow students to offer constructive, useful feedback!

  1. Topic + Audience
  2. Core messages
  3. Visual metaphor + Presentation

FAQs

  • What software do I need?

You're welcome to use Prezi or another tool of your choosing.

  • What is my theme?

Anything that's relevant to you. Workshop an existing presentation, prepare for an upcoming presentation, or create your "presume" (the story of you).

  • How long should my final presentation be?

Your presentation can be as long or short as you'd like, but for the purposes of this assignment, I'd recommend a sweet spot of about 10 minutes total delivery time. That would you give you a few minutes on each of your 2-3 core messages.

  • How do I share a prezi in my Project Workspace?

Post a link to your prezi, embed a screencast via YouTube or Vimeo, or share image screengrabs.
