1. Introduction: Hello. I'm Nina. I don't want the color lover her creation of this class I would inspired by old winter registration self farmers. In this last I will show you beautiful a color combinations and how to examine in the water colors. This loss will be useful to anyone who is eager to explore the potential of color. So while I was not unintended them body color sitting artworks No prior knowledge is necessary on this classical experimental with the color mixtures while creating a beautiful windage color Pilots in which later can apply in your floral as a bonus, will paint Lusa floral composition blind. The Winter Scholar schema, which separated that he runs across class, is the 1st 1 in the window. Chmara works in watercolor Syria. So if you are new to this channel, please press a follow button up another, not to Misa are. My next class is I'd like to get started 2. Supplies and Materials: This class, so we will need some watercolor paper, any kind do you like that? We will need the T1 for making these washers, watercolor paint, the ones you have waterborne valid, or just a ceramic plate is also as fine and rushes. As for brushes, we will need the round ones. Number 8, Number 6, bigger one. This is also number eight, the bads. It's a bit bigger. This is number 7 and one flat brush for making swatches. It's better if it would be a square or synthetic, which is similar to similar properties as a squirrel hair cell or a mix of synthetic squirrel. So these ones are the ones WHO which he usually keeps the water quite well. So let's get started. 3. Colors for Vintage Palette: In this class I was inspired by all the wind, flower images. They are really inspiring. So pale colors in combination with some really bright ones, these pastel tones. And while mixing my colors, I have been looking for some beautiful color combinations in order to recreate this. I know Windows color volumes. I will leave you as a link to my window share holder on in the class description. So that you have a look at all these images and got inspired for nucleation. Yeah, really, really beautiful. Okay, So based on this, my color mixture experiments, I have stopped on certain colors, which we are going to explore in this class. So let's take out your watercolors and repair your brushes. Our first color, which we're going to explore is magenta, or also it could be called quinacridone, rose. Come in red. Then let's take yellow, that is cadmium yellow light. Netherworld take several ingredients. That is emerald green. Color is quite specific as it is. But in color mixtures it gives a really beautiful use. And olive green, warm green. Also use really beautiful color. Warm color combinations will take some blues. That is going to be this color. I'm not sure that there was a you're going to have it or not is called the lavender. That is quite opaque color. But probably if you don't have this color in your watercolors, just try to use wireless mics there with a bit of white watercolor or with whitewash. But I do suggest just to buy coloring. It's really beautiful lot on For sure you're wondering. Indigo. It's really beautiful color just on its own. And as well are mixtures. It helps quite a lot to make. As you circle concentrated the axons, paintings. And one more color. We won't explore it as much. But again, it's a color which is really beautiful to have it on its own. And you use for certain small details or some specific details I see Scala for sure will attract anyone's attention. As this is cobalt turquoise. Also it could be, I think deal. So more or less it's like just look and different producers. So if you're ready, then let's start there with experiments. In this class, we are going to make different, we explore different color combinations by mixing quite a lot of different colors. So our main police consists of nine colors. And using these nine colors, so we will create a variety like, I think, almost hundreds of different other color. 4. Preparing charts: What we are going to prepare is Color Charts. And this one is made for squares by 10 squares. Each square is two centimeters wide. And like A4 sheet of paper, there are three charge which you can, three tables. I will, and I will show you how to make us these charts quite quickly. Before also, I was in Kansas. It's quite boring to make all these charts. Takes quite a long time. But then I have only one way, yeah, which is quite quickly. And you can make all these great deal color combinations quite quickly. And then to have it and to use it as a reference in your future artworks. And today the Dorsey is a really helpful And the moment Well, yeah, painting and you're looking for certain color, but you don't really remember with color you have the makes it sound, this is really helpful. It will take some time, but I guarantee that late age will serve you for quite long time and will be helpful in your artworks. 5. Pairs of colors for Mixing Fun: Also we will need the eye if you have y's better to take a flat brush because it's 0. It will be much easier later to fill in the squares. We will investigate the following color mixes. Magenta with emerald green. Magenta with olive green. And magenta are using Diigo. That is going to be one. That is going to be a one sheet of our experiments of color charts. Neck or ketamine was the same colors with emerald green, with olive green and indigo. Then we will have a look. It doesn't possibilities and color mixture. So all of the vendor with magenta is Carmen and lavender is in vivo. Then actually we will get this range of colors also between verbal and rows and different cold blues. Another option is to check out combinations and color mixtures are off lavender with yellows, with cadmium yellow light and with raw sienna. And what kind of shades of white arrow we can get. So here, squeeze cadmium yellow. And also in order to get different Gold blues, we will take a color mixtures of the will experiment though is makes us our lavender with emerald green. And one more there we will see is a possibility. So mixing yellows, yellow, cadmium yellow is magenta. And yellow whisker me. Sorry, adoption is cadmium yellow, indigo. And as our yellow color is row c and f. So we will explore the combinations over sienna as well. With magenta and wears emerald green. I will upload zach colors. So which one do you use it in our color schema and as well, colors, which are, we're going to use a color charts for a color mixtures and do the project resources of the glass. So as that, you also will have an idea which colors to mix. And as well, if you don't have any of these colors, you can pick up any of the colors which you have, which would be, which would be similar to the ones which you have one to use. 6. Watercolor Mixing Fun: It's really difficult to start with Gantt charts, but once you have started, then you're making them quite quickly. And then DO RE lemma is there was an amount of color mixture of sand shades which you can get that our mix index only two colors or three colors. For our color table, we will use Garmin, Isaac, quite sick, or a dancer mixture, or dense color. There is almost no water. And the first square is coming. The first row is going to be as most concentrated mixture and the darkest shades of color mixes. The first row says a will be lighter and lighter and lighter to get the lighter shade of this color. For this, you dust merge does deserve the very end of the brush. A bit to get what they are. And now we'll have more water. And it's already like that and more transparent. The first row, row is going to be the pure color which we are mixing. Then we merge or B for the brush and get more water. The last one we merge completely the brush and remove extra pigment. We get actually OK. So now we do not wash the brush is quite it's almost doesn't have water. And with the same brush, just a bit of olive green. This mixture is going to be Carmen red with green. Here we have the new color. So we build the first square. Then we're merge. Remove a bit of extra pigment. And here we have already lighter color. Remove extra pigment, completely emerges a whole brush, remove extra payment. And here we can get, the idea is to get that as many different squares of different shades of color, as many as possible. So that you will have an idea of what The potential of their color mixtures or you can get mixing these two colors. So I do not wash out my brush with the same brush. A bit of water in order to get with my and a bit more of what if we remove extra? Here? I see that this three, they are almost similar. So I will have To watch more and to remove more payment from ZBrush there to see how different values of this in my inspector and eat more of olive green brown color. So as a first chart takes time, but later ones you got already the three. And I, your hand does a moment. How much water you need to remove, how much pigment you need to remove, then it's quite fast. For example, we take a bit more of a brown, remove a really beautiful shapes. Like you see here I have the mixture is quite dense. And as you don't wash brash after, like new color makes it Also USA when some time on the Russia you get one is the same color and not have to make meaning. And this mixture also gives us the same concentration. For this first problem, I do not have any water in my brush. And we're going to do we're almost done. Yeah. I would say combinations is a ministration. And the last one is on it. So as you can get that on your brain. 7. Lets paint loose florals: Let's grab a sketchbook on. Let's make some a floral composition using as this winter color palette which we have studied there You in class, which we have created during the class. Uh, for I'm unsure you about my experiments that here I have tried to here I have trying to paint a same composition, almost the same composition using the same colors as we have used. Uh, we have been mixing during the glass on, uh, how the mood off this composition is changing dependent on the flower on the color so which you have chosen. So that is the same color palette. But you can see it's completely different mood, which you can transmit the through color composition. There are get prepared to your sketchbook where you're going to paint my one that 100% are good on paper and for inspiration. I have told in this image, uh, it's just for idea. You can take a big recover any other. So here we see three, um, in flowers, this one on who side once. So I'm a feeler followers on several leaves on some, but so just let's try to agree. I got get inspiration from this wanna and toe great. Our one using as a color charge, which we have class. Okay, so then let's get started for main flowers, I will choose a sound cheerful colors, I would say. Yeah, uh, more of this ridge. A pinkish on, the more turning the while it for these, I will have to make some magenta with the emerald green. So then let's start wisdom and flowers. Uh, yeah, I have some weeks which has been left from mixing. I will, magenta. I'm just tiny. Okay, so then let's check which calories. Yeah, I'm quick. Have been. So let's start this. I'm I'm just doing general strokes trying to imitate the shape. No work. So before we'll start with our loose floral composition, I should meet this That there was There were several women. It's that I have discovered that that my camera wasn't recording, so you won't see the process out pained in the next off the next to any monies. Um, but as the main idea is that this is a shape on trying to transmit their with brushstrokes , the shapes are off the flowers. However, they're also good news that, uh, as you have Mr this part of the recording, I decided. OK, then I will record another one using the same color palette eso as a bonus you half a second those floral composition Onda In such way, you're for sure you will put in practice also so color mixing, uh, heavy. So which you have or developed ah, while creating your color charts. So let's great together on and enjoy painting with me. And now let's that be mix my agenda with Do you understand that lets it more. - Some part of I was here. I'm mixing a bit off indigo with magenta on with tiny amount off a vendor, but actually indigo with them. Agenda will be enough. And then just with a simple brush prints, you're great in a a shaper office said tiny flowers that as this is loose painting, so just you can create the shape so which you like. Let's at another color is a mixer off indigo with more amount of magenta until introduce a second color to their flowers, and then I just grab Ah, yellow three Yellow should be quite concentrated, quite sick or with a bit off magenta on the possessor in the center of flowers. So is the yellow should be quite thick. Another toe start to spread on toe. Move the progress colors as a wise. If it would be too much water in the yellow mix and then it will stay like a battle on this effort could be different. Just pay attention to take are quite concentrated yellow color with olive green with with all of Greenaway. I didn't some lives toe Yemenis and let's have a look at our color chance. All right, Probably the mixer off, um, yellow with indigo will give us acquited A beautiful, a darker shade, a off off green. So where I'm mixing olive green Always a indigo on just a de Vito off this darker shade just underneath says ah, flower. So where there is a shadow on deserves are usually a bit darker. Let's at one brain. Jawf lives just two strokes lives that your ah, uh, placing your brush, Andi, uh, while bracing a bit on the ones you get toe there and you lift it out trying to make us a I end of the lifter quite pointed. Just practice while or and try to discover what kind off brush strokes you can make with your brush. My one is black, one with a round brush, which is a zoo mix off square along with the same data, cares Andi. Uh, it's really great because it keeps there quite well, water on at the same time because really pointed to deep so it allows you to control quiet . A lot of them brushed the back on uh gives you allows you to make other idea off brush strokes. Let's at that a bit more of details. A two hour feeler flowers. There are some Sturm's on the some tiny tiny leaves. I have used their olive green mixture with a bit off far or Sienna, huh? Let's add a bit off, but that mainly we have already our key flowers into center on DNA. Now we are in the empty spaces with some leaves on some feel of flowers with the mixer off magenta with a bit ofa indigo. Let's make the flowers are there. Mixture should be quite diluted. Andi, Let's that one flower offer and Angula. So for Aziza, let's take a really diluted on. It should be quite ah, juicy their mixture off magenta with tiny drop off yellow. Andi. Let's maker concentrated two circles, and it is trying to recreate as a shaper offer ankles on there in the center. Let's that Abby drop off concentrated olive green. Some more flowers fill filler flowers for these. Uh, I'm mix in magenta with a bit ofa India. Andi will paint them, are in three tones. Just lose flowers. Tryingto transmit the house is the general shape of the flowers on the first mixture. Should be quite light. The mixer off magenta was indigo. Then we had, uh, a bit more concentrated color off the same mixture. Uh, magenta, always indigo and then another to make on. To give even more contrast on, uh, to show the places X separating points are between Ah, high nickel titanium flowers. We will let more concentrated. We will let more concentrated mixture off indigo with magenta, but first will have totally with dry, so that will be the next step. And now let's more for ah for next flowers. - I am mixing ah indigo with ah, a magenta ideal life. Find us exactly that dark, uh, color in order to give it will give. Among contrast, does a composition and to jester with brush Prince, I'm creating thes leaves, you might notice is that, uh, place in this dark eye leaves just close toe really lighter in Angola's that it gives a quite nice contrast to the whole of flour composition. Andi. Now, if you have this beautiful color, are cobbled, uh, requests or something similar, let's add some more flowers. That is just the diluted ah, one color. I haven't mixed it with anything. And there with the same brush. Brains. Let's great, uh, shape off flowers. Let's say that it could be come wildflowers shape with the rosiana with a tiny dot off olive olive green. Ah, let's make is a center off their flowers on the shade. Ah, on the terms are on. Let's make so olive green with a bit off carmine red that is just quite diluted. The yellow with ah, a tiny amount off olive greens on just about dots are creating a as a type of all for flower feeling. And let's get a bit of contrast. Is a mixer off olive green with India, and also we will use this color for the storm off the flower. - Thanks , and now it's time to add the other darker extends out on this flower. As I have mentioned before, that we will find it in three. Don't. So So now we're it in the separation separate. There's like the darkest parts among the, uh, small florets. - Sorry that you cannot see completely the stroke, sir, which I making, uh, because it's quite complicated angle. I'm using, uh, indigo for make bringing more contrast to the composition on, uh, like a mixture off more concentrated or um, until more diluted indigo, starting with modelo teeter on, then adding more concentrated. This also gives beauty to their leave set. Some of them would be lighter on others would be dark with olive green. Let's add one more live, which would remind, um, fern leaf eyes that it's adjuster with the strokes. Your first making escalate ana on DNA with tiny strokes are your immediate In the are the components of this tiny leaves are on. This wanes also by 18 a bit more off indigo, the olive green. We can have a darker or lighter shades, so in this way you also are eating the collar along their whole life. That is just prince off the taper off my brush. I try to find also one brush which will make a beautiful, uh, Prensa on to put it in practice. Let's set the veto shadow to their, uh, to our flowers to the centers of our flowers. I am mixing the rosiana with olive green. Andi, this also gives a bit off volume And now let's have a bit off. Varies. I'm, um, preparing the quite diluted, uh, cholera ORF rosiana. Thanks. On the will make adjust the shape the first layer for other shape off Berries. Andi. Then we will let, uh, shadow another to give them a bit off. William for docker uh, color. I am mixing rosiana with indigo, but this is too much. So let's hunter with less also. Ah, we can mix Rosiana with a bit off, um car minaret. Then it will give warmer shade that the Berries. And let's that several lives Here I am using indigo another to bring more William Otto, the central flowers. Let's make us a center off the flower darker Ah was a indigo adjusted with tiny daughter spreading them, um in the center, in the very centre off the flour and also around the center and given more contrast, A tow Our tiny flowers Ah, with a darker color of the mixer off Indigo is magenta. And also, uh, give her the wall. Yamato, our Berries with the same mix offer indigo with magenta. Let's indicators center with dark cross. So are some kind off? Uh Ah, tiny lines. - I'm taking a bigger brush. This is a round brush number eight. Another toe. Ah, introduce a doctor color toe or flowers a central flowers on. But also to make SSM Teoh gives them a more William. So we're introducing a darker color in areas where, uh, there are darker parts in the areas there were supposed to the resell less light and more contrasted to our fair and leave on. Do we have done a good job? I hope that you have enjoyed painting this Ah, loose Ferral composition. And I'm really looking forward to see your paintings in the class Project gallery. Please share with me on Duh. I will leave my feedback 8. Bonus More Loose florals: if you enjoy painting loose florals, Aziz, much as I do, then, uh, I have good news for your here. You have one more floral composition. A Sabonis. We will start the same. I try in the center. We will place Ah, big a wider florals. Um, I would say some kind off animal nous and I will use Ah, the color mixture. So which we have a and I will use is ah, color mixture, sir, which we have used for great in our color chaps. For the central flower, I will uses a mix off a vendor with magenta and, uh, another combination. I will use Ah, magenta with emerald green. Another to add, uh, to make us a Sentra. Off the center, off flowers darker. I will use, uh, indigo onda A swell. Ah. Different proportions off indigo and magenta. Another tree to introduce more colors into the flowers. Thanks. The next flowers that I will, uh, uses a color are the color mixer off. A vendor with a bit off indigo also were in the proportions and to the center of the flower , making it darker. Just Houston. As a brush brings, uh, on imitating just the shape of flour for flowers Will makes a quite diluted solution off cadmium yellow with it Any better off olive green for sleep. So we use olive green on for the doctor shades are we use Ah, olive green A on the tiny amount off Indeed girl Another to get darker shade. I use diluted magenta Ah, for the first layer off flower fillers first time. So I am using a za mixer off a green olive green with later off indigo and I mix in Ah, magenta with the emerald green, we get a darker will you off this beautiful Why letter? And we can add a darker accents to these tiny flowers and lets it some more flowers with, uh, this beautiful color off Koval Turk Woz. Um, by placing ah, um, the opposite and off the brush you can get a different brush strokes on. And compared to our first, the floral composition thes flowers there will have a bit different character. So just try different brush strokes on. Do see what you can get with your brush for the center. So we're using the diluted, uh, rosiana with a tiny amount off olive green. Let's had several lives with quite diluted India. With were diluted magenta a check that you will have really juicy and, uh, quite transparent solution. Let's paint Ah ah Rose. It didn't darker shades Ah, with a mix of off magenta and emerald green for dark Wayne's are on the leaves. I'm mixing olive arena with a bitter over India by placing the indigo lives in quite clear light flowers. It makes a really beautiful contrast, especially if the flowers that will have some roast stones are pinkish stone. It gives a really beautiful uh um contrast that Onda A bit like for me, it's really windage. Look, So I really like us this combination off these light rose with, uh, quite dark indigo lives. Let's add some more Berries this time of for Barisal. Let's makes Rosiana and Carmine on, uh by you are eating as a proportion, so off each of the color you can get also be warmer or lighter. Fates are on, uh, also maker as a shadow on Berries, and you will have really appealing Berries. Let's add some warmer green leaves. For this I will make olive green. It was a bit off Carmine red was quite concentrated in the goal. Let's add more Contrasted to the centers are off the main flowers just a with tiny dots on making the center, uh, more darker on. Uh, giving are more depth to the center of the flower and here we have one more are empty and space, so let's feel it there with some off varies again. The mix a is rosiana was a bit off car minaret. - Let's make the center off Berries with quite concentrated. I makes off indigo with a bit of magenta Thanks . So here we can after a bit more off contrast and in this part, because actually this flower is a below like below the top one. Hey, great job on more beautiful floral site came to life. 9.
