About This Class

This class will cover how to prepare for and create participant criteria and crafting a screening questionnaire for meeting the criteria on any research project. We will also discuss different methods for administering a participant screener to ensure you're getting the right customers. Screeners should be used for both generative & evaluative research including co-creation, interviews, concept evaluations and usability tests.

Skills You'll Learn:

  • How to define research participant criteria
  • How to create effective screening questions
  • High-level review of administering screeners

The class project will be centered around defining your own participant recruitment criteria, developing a screening questionnaire and developing a plan for administering your screener to respondents.

No prior experience is necessary, however this class assumes other tasks involved with user research have been completed (like creating a test plan or having design stimuli on-hand).
