About This Class

This course is meant for advanced beginner to intermediate level DBAs who want to learn more about how statistics are created, used, and maintained in SQL Server. You will learn how to improve SQL Server performance, troubleshoot and fix SQL Server performance issues, and Maintain statistics to ensure optimum SQL Server performance.

A copy of SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 or later is recommended, although SQL 2005 can be used. Download the AdventureWords2012 sample database from CodePlex. The link is in the course. Basic knowledge of T-SQL and query plans is helpful, but not required.
