1. Introduction: Do you want to become a fast taper? Do you want to increase your productivity or even get a promotion at work? Or you're a student who struggles to type notes, then this is the course for you. In the type of course, I'll show you not only how I increase my typing speed from 30 to over a 120 words for minutes. But also share some of the best strategies I've picked up along the way to improve your productivity. This course has entire section's way go in depth from beginner to advanced, to get you typing feet fast. In just a matter of D's. All I ask is that you spend ten to 20 minutes a day practicing typing. Hi, my name is alkaline and I'll be your instructor for this course. Like many of you, I've worked with computers almost all my life. I used to work at the transcriptions for a couple years and how to transcribe hours a BAD you each and every single day. Along the way, I learned some of the best ways to improve my typing of Vinci. And obviously not all of those for you. In this course. I believe that improving your typing speed is the single best thing you can do to improve your productivity. And that's why I created this course. This course called me the most optimized techniques required to become an elite level type is it includes practices. I'm instead they'll lie to apply the knowledge because knowing the right matters for typing is essential. But it doesn't mean much when you're not able to practice the strategies. So each lesson will be fouled up with an assignment that target specific areas of the keyboard. I've also included ons of exercise files. These range from milling the most common English words, gaining muscle memory for common endings, and practicing those hard to hit keys. This will make you more comfortable with the keyboard and allow you to focus on the actual content of the work rather than trying to hit the right keys. So if you're looking to take your typing speed to the next level and want to implement the best strategies to get there. Then it's time you enroll in this course and get rid of that old one and pecking method. By the end of this course, you will be able to type far more in just half the time.
2. Benefits Of Typing Faster: Regardless of what job you have, if it requires interacting with computer, then improving your typing speed will help with that. Because the keyboard is one of the two main methods of interacting with the computer. So improving your typing speed would be in your best interest. For starters, it's the single best thing you can do to improve your productivity. This means being able to write emails, competing Ss, or entering data all in about half that time. And this doesn't just apply to heavy typing task, but can also be applicable to your day-to-day interactions with the computer, whether searching something on Google or YouTube, or even filling out sign-up forms, all of that stuff becomes quicker and therefore you become more productive. And the way I see it is improving your typing speed is an investment that buys you time. So spending five to ten hours improving your typing speed will help you save thousands of hours down the road that could be better spent elsewhere. So there's no reason why you should improve your typing speed. In fact, some jobs even require you to have a certain word permanent count. So this opens up job opportunities that otherwise would not have been available. But the benefits of touch typing don't just stop at speed and productivity. They can also lead to an improved posture that you're not always hunched over looking for keys, using up mental energy. Instead, you're able to focus on your work while also looking, operate at your computer screen and not causing any excessive next string. This is particularly important if you work somewhere where you're likely to be in front of a computer all day, five days a week. The last benefit is that it doesn't really impresses people. One of the most frequent complements that I get at work is regarding my typing speed. Now this alone may not be a reason to learn to touch-type, but it's definitely a great bonus. And so I hope after going through this list, you're just down much more motivated to improve your typing speed.
3. Set Exceptions - What I Did To Improve: And before I dive into the course, I just wanna make if few things clear. So you're not going into this course thinking that you're magically be able to increase your typing speed. Hill takes lots of practice and it won't happen overnight. When it comes to typing, the best thing you can do to improve it is practice. You can know all the tips and tricks to improving your typing speed. But if you're not actively practicing daily, you're not going to get very far. And to be fair, you don't need to practice for hours on end per rather just set aside an hour day for just a couple of weeks. And within that time frame, you should be able to W typing speed. And in some cases, if you're a complete beginner, you could even triplet because your rate of improvement will be drastic at first and gradually over time, it will slow down as you're typing speed improves. When I started out, I could barely type with 30 words per minute. And I wondered why my typing speed hadn't improved despite me interacting with the keyword for hours on end every single day. Just assume that over time my typing speed would improve and I would be able to type faster. And one of my goals was to be able to type without looking down at the keyboard. I just thought it was one of the coolest things ever, but my knife, so I'll just assume that it was just a matter of time before I could begin typing without looking down at the keyboard. But little did I know that this was impossible with my old Hunt and packing method. Now, although many people fall into the side of learning too much without applying the knowledge learned. I had fallen on the complete opposite side where I would just practice my old Hunt and packing method, thinking that that would help. But unfortunately, two fingers can only type of bus when competing with all ten fingers, which are required for touch typing. So I encourage you to go to the course multiple times if you have two and also complete all the included assignments. That way you can get the best of both worlds and you can learn to correct typing method and apply the knowledge learned by completing the practice assignments.
4. Test Minimize Typing With Abbreviations : Before we dive into the course, I just want to make this quick when video where I share small tip. They'll make your life a whole lot easier. And it'll only take a minute, but will save you hundreds of hours down the road. In this lecture, we're going to be creating customer abbreviations. Abbreviations basically allow you to type out a shortened form of a word and the system will automatically type out the entire word for you. So Tivoli and example of this would be O, M, W, which would automatically type out on my way. Another example that I find myself using very often is E m, which types out my entire emo. And this makes sign-up pages that much more bearable. And I'm sure by now you're getting all sorts of ideas on how you can implement this on your own life. But keep in mind that you can very easily get carried away and begin adding abbreviations, left-hand rate. And this insolvable probably do more harm than good. Because not only will you not be able to remember to use them, but you may also extend the tugboat and abbreviation that you did not intend on. And now you have to go back and retype it, which will reduce your typing speed and therefore impact your efficiency. So if used correctly, this will make your life that much easier. But with that being said, let's hop onto the computer and let me show you exactly how you can add these. Nother willing to computer. Let me show you how you can add abbreviations on the Mac. And then also I'm going to show you how you can add it on Google docs as well. I don't even added with windows are not too sure on that. You're going to have to check. But my research, I couldn't find how do I add abbreviations on Windows. So I use a mark and this is how I do it. So you go in settings. And once you're in settings, you wanna go ahead and select keyword from keyboard. You want to go ahead and slide text. And these are all the abbreviations that I have added. Dao automatically replace it with abandon. Abs o tao replacer would absolutely be the replacer would Bertie. So these are a couple of abbreviations that I have added. And if want to go ahead and add one of your own, you coordinates like plus, and you can go ahead and type in anything. So lessee wanna add an abbreviation for smart. You can go ahead and ask them T or T, type in anything that you feel suits you. Ideally will works is typing in the first two letters and then typing in the last one. That's like the rate way of adding abbreviations, but you can just go ahead and type in any sequence of letters. They'll help you remind yourself that das specific sequences for that specific word. And again, you want to make sure you're not adding too many abbreviations, all the ones. Where else you may forget to use them, or you may confuse them with one another. So start small and then one by one, you can go ahead and start adding them. For me. The one that I find is the most useful one is this one right here. So I just happens EM, and that automatically types out my email. Again, it makes sign-up forms down much more easier. And then once you're done, you can go ahead and enter in your text anywhere. So if I go ahead and enter in this search bar, less cool for height. So h k, t and the automatically changes to hide because that's the abbreviation that I have added. So yeah, it's really cool and it just makes your life down much easier. And if you want, you can also add the same for Google Docs. So if I open up Google Chrome and Auburn New tab. And let's go to Google Docs. Slugged dots. Open a new page and from theory phone, go ahead and add abbreviations. You wanna go ahead and select tools from tools, slow preferences, substitutions, and then you can go ahead and add abbreviations here as well. I don't have any abbreviations and added over here. And we've got the wonder applied onto my laptop, automatically translate over here as well. So there's really no point of writing them specifically to Google Docs when I can do it directly from my laptop. So if I type in ACGT here, it automatically suggests height, surveyed the spacebar. You're automatically and turned hate. So I don't need to do it all over again on Google Docs. But again, if you're using a Windows and you're not able to do it to your computer. You can always honest separately on Google talks as well. And there's also a way to add it on word as well. And for that, I'll leave a link to an article in the resource tab and you can just coordinate, simply fall through the steps. And it'll take you step-by-step on how you can do the same thing for Word as well. Again, is a very simple process. And if you do have a mock Dutch, ideally the best way to do it as just adding it to the systems who will apply it on your entire computer, whether you are new Tube, Facebook, or you're typing your document on Google Docs C, yeah, that's it for this lecture. And I really hope this small tube makes your life a whole lot easier.
5. Measuring Progress: If you want to maximize your typing speed, you need to be able to measure your results so that way you can see the progress you meet over time and continue pushing forward knowing that you're heading in the right direction. So how do you measure progress? You check your words per minute. This is the most common and useful measurement when checking your progress. Because that's really what we're even for R3 here. You want to type out the most number of words in the shortest amount of time possible. The second factor which ties in with the first one is the characters per minute. This I would say is a more accurate way of determining your typing speed. Because I find that in some languages the had longer words, wall others have shorter ones. And now this may not be as popular method, but it is something that you want to consider. If you find yourself typing, you need different language. And lastly, if the words you're typing out our misspelled, then there's no use. And that's why accuracy is another important factor in determining your speed. Way too many students focus on getting as many words typed out in a given period. But if you're constantly having to go back and fix typos, then that would drastically reduce your typing speed. So when you're starting out, I would recommend focusing on trying to type with as few mistakes as possible and your speed will automatically catch up. So next time you're practicing, you're typing. Be sure to keep these do statistics in mind and you should have no trouble improving your typing speed.
6. Focus On Accuracy Rather Then Speed: As I mentioned in my last lecture, something that tends to get overlooked is typing accuracy. Because although words per minute as an important metric when it comes to determining your typing speed. In order to take this to the next level, you need to work on your accuracy because your fingers can only move so fast in going back and fixing those mistakes will only slow you down further. So it's in your best interests to really focus on typing out every word correctly. The first time. Something that helps is knowing how to spell and not relying too much on autocrat. Because although auto Quaker can be a great tool to help fix little typos here and there. I find that I start to depend on it too much and misspell many words in hopes to type as fast as possible. But way too many times I find myself having to go bag and retyped because autocratic, we'll just change it into a different word that I did not intend on typing. And those extra couple seconds would just drastically reduce your typing speed. So it's really in your best interest to start typing out slowly. And over time, your speed will naturally increase, especially if you are following the strategies that I do cover in this course. So start slow. And over time, your speed will increase.
7. How Can I improve My Typing?: In this new section of the course will be covering touch typing and how you can begin typing at speeds of up to 80 to nine new words per minute. Now, type at such high speeds, it's essential that we utilize all ten fingers. Because if you're only using two to four fingers, you're not optimizing your full typing speed. So as you go to this section, I'll be covering all aspects of the keyboard, whether it be in the bottom row, top row, or even the special characters. Each lesson will be followed up with an assignment that I highly recommend you complete. As you get comfortable with each role, we will move on to the next. And by the time you competed this section, you should be comfortable with the entire keyboard. And then from there, it's just a matter of continuous practice. And your speech should be up to 80 to nine new words per minute. Also mute. Sure to go through my litter lectures where a cumbersome that tips and tricks to get your speed up. This includes learning how to type without looking, using keyboard shortcuts and more.
8. Homebar (A-L): In this lecture, we're going to be talking about where you want to place your fingers when you're not typing. Because ideally you want them to be in a position where they're able to reach every key with as little movement as possible. That way you can optimize your typing speed. Start by placing your right hand on the letters J, K, L, and semicolon. And your left hand should be placed on a, S, D, F. And an easy way to know whether your fingers are placed in the correct position is feeling for the bumps on the letters F and G. This is a standard on all keyboards and allow you to get in position without looking at the keyboard. After you've placed eight fingers on the keyboard, then place your thumbs on the space bar. And these two are solely dedicated for Di Qi. And depending on which hand you use to type loss, you must use the other two hit the space bar. Now that we have our hands on the resting position, we need to start hitting the other keys in the same row. And to do that, we also have dedicated fingers. You want to use your right index finger to press H and the left index finger to press G. This means that you have to slightly shift your finger off the resting position and you don't have to memorize all this. Just use a finger di requires a lease movement. And in this case, it would be the index finger. Now this applies with the pinky finger as well. So if you want to type a comma or hit Enter, then you must use your right pinky finger because that would make the most sense. Now, when it comes to the left pinky finger, that's responsible for the Caps Lock key. Remember to always return your fingers back to the homo position after hitting any Qi Dao, It's always ready to type. The next lecture is an assignment that I want you to complete. This will help your fingers and become more comfortable with the home row key. So I highly recommend that you do a completed before moving on to the lecture. After that.
9. Homebar Typing Assignment: Welcome to the first assignment of this course. This is one of the first of many, because when it comes to typing, it's important to learn the right way to type. After all, if you didn't the classic hunting and pecking method, you're not going to get very far. But something equally, if not more imported, is practicing the techniques taught in this course. Because you can watch this entire course multiple times. But if you're not applying the knowledge, then you're typing speed will remain the same. So in this assignment, I'm going to give you a handful of words and ask you to type them out using the finger placement method todd, In the previous lecture. To begin, open up the file provided for this assignment. And you can see here that you'll be given a bunch of keywords that will require you to use the home row keys, go through the list and type out the words. This may be a bit uncomfortable at first, especially for your ring and pinky finger, as they're not used to being utilized when typing. But with a bit of practice, you should start to warm up and it should become second nature in no time. Mutually time yourself and see how you can improve over time. And if you're up for the challenge, try and type these words without looking down at the keyboard. Also, when you're done, check to see your accuracy. Ideally you want a minimum of 90%. And with that being said, good luck.
10. Top Row (Q-P): Now that you're hopefully comfortable with the home row and can hit every key without looking. Let's expand the responsibility of our fingers by moving to the top row of the keyboard. So for the left-hand, This will include the keys q, w, e, r In Te. The keys are all placed in a position that mimics a natural curve of our heads. So that way they can all be a depressed with minimal movement. Pinky fingers responsible for the letter Q, ring for W, middle finger for E, and the index finger for the letters or in t. And that's because the T false closer to the left index finger than to the right. Now that we have covered the finger placement of our left-hand, let's move on to covering the top right of the keyboard. You want to place your right hand on the home row position. And from there, move your fingers up and slightly to the left to hit the letters p, o, i, u, and y. As you can see, the responsibilities of each finger is very similar to the lab can, but just mirrored. And that applies to the index finger as well, where it's responsible for both the EU and why? Because they're the closest to the right index finger. When you're done pressing any key measure to always return your fingers original position. And also the other fingers should remain in their home rule position when not being utilized. That's because you always want them to be ready to hit any of their assigned keys when needed. You may find that a few keys may be a bit difficult to press, particularly any key that uses the pinky finger because you're not used to using our finger to type and that's completely normal. Just be sure to do all the practice assignments in this course and you should have no problem getting used to pressing all the difficult piece. Remember, Practice and does make perfect.
11. Top Row Typing Assignment: Now we're on the second assignment, and this one is very similar to the loss, except now we're going to focus on the top row keys as well as the home row. And since we have access to more keys on the keyboard up also added a second diary require you to only use one hand. It includes if you practice words for both the left-hand as well as the right one. So be sure to complete those as well. And something that I want you to be a world is that although some of the keys maybe on the top row and some seconds may exclusively require you to use one hand. I still want you to keep all your other fingers resting on the home row were not being used. And now that we have that cleared, going ahead and open up the file to begin typing.
12. Bottom Row (Z-M): In this lecture, we'll be covering how to type on the bottom row of the keyboard and which fingers are assigned to which key. Now as always, we'll start off with the left hand. The left hand will be responsible for the keys Zed, x, c, v, and b. Just by stating the keys, the left-hand is responsible for. Hopefully you have an idea of which fingers may be responsible for which keys. And if not, let me clarify. The pink ears responsible for Zed, ringers for X, middle 4C, and as usual, the index finger is responsible for B and B. If we move to the right hand, your fingers should take care of the keys. N, m, comma, period, and forward slash. When watching me enter each key, you may have noticed that some of my fingers moved out of place When Typing. Now this is completely normal for the varName rule because the keys are very difficult to hit without moving away from the home rule. Just be sure to always return your fingers back as soon as they had been pressed, that we, you know, where all the other keys are relative to the home rule. And this will also lead you in typing without looking.
13. Bottom Row Typing Assignment: This is the third assignment in this series. And by now I'm sure you've already guessed what this is all about. But if not, let me explain. In this assignment, I'll provide a file that contains words that utilizes all three rows. Now I recommend you go to this list of words multiple times that were you able to get comfortable using all three rows at once? And keep in mind that the bottom row is one of the more difficult goes to master, because some of the keys may require you to move your entire hand off of the home rule. And plus, most of the keys aren't even visible either because the palm of your hand often covers them. So don't be discouraged when you struggle with some of the words and tend to miss one of the harder keys. So just keep at it. And hopefully you will be able to master the bottom row.
14. Number Row (0-9): Now let's talk about the number role. And although you may not be using this as often, it's still important and you must know which fingers are responsible for which numbers. So if we look at the keyword over here, you can see that if we're going based off in the previous lecture, then it would make sense that the pinky finger would be responsible for the back Tiki and the number one ring finger for number two, middle finger for number three, and the index finger for number 45. Moving to the right side, the index singers responsible for the key 67, middle finger for number eight, ring finger for nine. And lastly, the pinky is responsible for 0 dash equals sign and backspace. So the pinky finger is responsible for many keys. But those keys aren't used very frequently. So you don't have to worry too much about exhausting your weakest finger.
15. Shift Key, Capital letters and Special Characters: Now we move on to this shift key. This is one of the more essential keys on the keyboard, because without it, you would likely have a keyboard that takes up twice the monospace. And that's because it allows each key to H2 two purposes. The Schottky was first introduced on typewriters. Before then, you would only be able to type a capital letters. So the Shift key, as I suggested, the name slightly shifted the keys to Lauper lowercase letters to be used without having to increase the size of the keyboard. So it's safe to say that it was a very ingenious idea. Nowaday, every keyboard comes with a Shift key on both the left and right side of the keyboard. So it did not only allows you typed lowercase letters, but you can also type special characters located on the number rho. Now imagine having another row of keys just for those special characters, those would be even harder to reach. Instead, we can just hit the shift key and press a special characters. Same way you would Preston numerical keys. Now, how do you use the shift key? While depending on which hand is being used to type, you would do the opposite to hit the shift key. And you can do that because there are two shipped keys, one on each side of the keyboard. Let's say you want to type Toronto, So the letter T would need to be capitalised. So before we hit the letter t, it's very common for people to just hit the left Ship Key, regardless of which key needs to be capitalize. But this would be inefficient and would make it impossible to capitalize letters like Q, a, and zed because the dual is required the pinky finger. So instead we would use our right pinky finger to hold the Shift key and press the letter T with our right index finger. This may be difficult at first, but as always, your brain will adapt over time and you will begin to use the opposite hand automatically to hit the shift key.
16. Remembering Finger Responsibility: And you are going to the course, you may begin to find it difficult to remember which fingers are responsible for which keys. And I told you understand your frustration, it can become quite difficult, but a poor way to remember is by looking for a pattern on the keyboard. So if you look carefully, you will begin to notice that all the keys are shifted slightly to the left. So when you want to know which finger is responsible for, let's say number eight, you simply follow a diagonal line. And you can see when it comes to the home row, it comes across the letter K. And we know that the right, right middle finger is responsible for the letter K, and therefore the right middle finger is also responsible for number eight. You can do this for any key. So if we follow the diagonal part of w and we come down to the Home Rule, we find a lease to the letter S, which is pressed using your left ring finger. So the letter w must also be pressed with your left ring finger. At this point, you may be asking yourself, well, how do I know the S key is pressed with the ring finger? Well, we covered that in a previous lecture, but to quickly sum it up, it's by placing both your index fingers in on the slide bumps, the keys F and J, and the rest of your fingers will naturally fall in place. And that's it. I hope this helps because that's something that I struggled with when they're new to touch-type. I would always forget to which finger I had to use for which specific key. And that dramatically slowed down my learning process. So I keep this in mind when you are touch typing and it should become much easier.
17. Keyboard Shortcuts And How To Best Use TheKeyboard shortcuts And How To Best Use Them: Now that you're familiar with the keyboard layout, we can take this a step further by learning about keyboard shortcuts. Why should you learn keyboard shortcuts while demeaning serve two purposes. One is to save you time when typing and the second is if you're super lazy like me, and you heat hovering to constantly take your hands off the keyboard to use a mouse than learning keyboard shortcuts will definitely reduce the need to do that. So something that I do is if I find myself always taking my hands off the keyboard to do a specific task, then I tried to find a shortcut for it. Now, this isn't always possible, but it never hurts to look. Keep in mind that many people take this a bit too for and try to look for a keyboard shortcut for everything and all at once. And that is the useful either because to successfully use the shortcut, you need to have you memorize and remember to use it. And if you're out there trying to find a keyboard shortcut for everything, you won't actually end up using it when the time comes. And I say that from experience. So start off with one shortcut. In example, one would be if you're trying to open up a tab in Chrome, press Control T on Windows or command t on Mac. This should open up a new tab ready for you to start typing. So go ahead, pause the video and give it a try. Uses for a couple of days or until you find yourself using it regularly, then move on to learning a new shortcut. And over time, you will have added many shortcuts to your lists and had become much more efficient. To help you in this journey. I will leave a document in the resource tab of dislikes your thou will include all the most commonly used shortcuts. From there, you can pick and choose the ones that you find best fit your needs.
18. Type Without Looking!: When you begin touch typing, you may find yourself constantly looking down at the keyboard. And that's completely normal for me even after use of using the computer, I still found myself looking down at the keyboard, even though I roughly knew where all the queues work. So I just assumed that eventually over the years, I would just naturally stop looking at the keyboard. But this had never happened. So I figured the only way to learn is by forcing myself not to look down at the keyboard. Even if I had made a typo, I would just hit the backspace and type it again. It was quite an annoying outbursts. And it drastically slowed down my typing speed. But eventually over the course of two weeks, I began to pick up speed and even surpass my result typing speed. And that's because you can only type so fast if you're constantly switching between looking down at the keyboard and then back up at the screen. And many people hit a roadblock, overrun 40 words per minute. And because of this, so if you find yourself in this position, I would recommend making this one change. And it will be difficult at first, but surely do Wolf thank yourself after you noticed a speed improvements.
19. Making a Consistent Routine: When you want to increase your typing speed, it's not something that will happen overnight, and I'm sure you know that, but you can definitely double, if not triple your typing speed within a span of four to six weeks. To do this, you must set aside an hour a day that is solely dedicated to practicing your typing. Anything less than that will result in New Harmony who spend more weeks and getting subpar results. But anything more than an hour will result in very minimal additional gain. So it's good to find a healthy balance between the two. In fact, will result in greater improvement. Would it be to practice daily rather than trying to go all out on a single day would work for me, was to practice on my first working hour of the day that we I could get the best results and save all the other less intensive stuff for later on. But for you the best time maybe afterwards when you don't have much else on your mind and you don't have any other obligations left for the day. If you don't know where to practice, just go through all the assignments are have laid out in this course and this should keep you occupied for the upcoming weeks. As I mentioned, you don't want to work on your typing for several hours a day as that reduces your output, we can take this a step further by only typing in ten minute increments and taking a two-minute break in between. Because typing can be intensive, especially when you're trying to type as fast as possible. So be sure to set a timer on your phone and work smart, not hard.
20. How Typing Speed Improves Overtime: When you begin typing, suddenly I wanted you to be a world is at the rate at which your speed will improve. Many of you assume that the growth is linear and that is incorrect. Neither does it improve exponentially. But instead, if you were an average typist who types out around for new work for a minute, then there's a good chance that you're using the standard haunt and packing method, which means that you're using two-fingered to type and maybe occasionally for, but that's really about it. Now when you adopt this new touch typing method, you'll notice a huge drop in typing speed down to around 15 words per minute. And this can be quite discouraging at first, but it's because you have to unlearn the old method of typing. And also you meet, find it a bit challenging to begin using you ring and pinging figure. For the first time, they may even start feeling a bit weak, but you don't need to worry. Within 45 hours of practice, you will get comfortable and back up to your original speed. But you don't want to stop there or else it would be pointless. You must continue practicing by completing the assignments provided in this course. And your speed will eventually surpass your starting point. Over time, you will begin to notice that your speed is in improving at the rate it initially did. And this is completely normal. You may have to put in twice the amount of work to go from 60 to 80 words per minute when compared to 40 to 60. And the same applies to 80 to a 100 words per minute. Now very few people reach this level, but it can be done with just a bit of consistency. So encourage you to keep up the work and keep typing.
21. Nail The Most Common English Words Assignment: In this assignment, I'm going to ask you to type out words included in the resource tab of this lecture it to top 100 most commonly use English words, reshoring and go through the list multiple times by doing shall, this will ensure that you gain the Muslim memory down for the word is that you'll be using most often. I highly recommend not looking at the keyboard when typing. As this assignment aims to get the muscle memory down and not really looking for the keys and visually.
22. Practicing Tricky Keys Assignment: In this assignment, I'll provide you with the couple words that I want you to practice typing.
