Project Description

The class project is to practise the lowercase alphabet (several times, until you're feelin' reeeal good about your letters) and then submit a page of your best attempt at the full alphabet for some helpful feedback.

To train yourself to self-assess your work in future, try to tick and cross the letters you're REALLY happy with (tick), and the ones you think need more improvement (cross).

Will I need anything?

Yup! There’s three things you’ll need:

  • A minimum of one brush pen (I recommend Pentel Sign Touch Pens (small) or Artline Stix Brush Markers (large))
  • Paper for lettering on (I recommend Rhodia paper, nice and smooth to protect your pens)
  • A whole bunch of enthusiasm! (no recommendations, you'll have to BYO)

That’s it!

A handy set of blank guidesheets in small and large size are attached to help you get your letters nice and consistent. Print them off and pop them behind some sheets of premium smooth paper, so as not to fray your brush tips on harsh regular printer paper (and so you can reuse the guidesheets again and again)!
