About This Class

Painting can be intimidating for just about anyone. This is especially true when it comes to choosing the colors you would like to use for your painting project. This 59 min class, will help you feel free to create your own color palettes and quickly explore the possibilities of being an epic colorist.

Mixing color is a fundamental skill required from just about any artist using any medium; choosing your palettes however does not need to be a confusing task. To be in a position to use color to your advantage, you must start with understanding its basic theories. You should also adopt a few color mixing techniques.

Color can do so much in a painting; it can create mood, add depth, create eye-catching contrast or a beautiful coherence. So once you get the hang of it, you will love the process. Do enjoy The Watercolorist's Simple Guide to Color Mixing.

Stacey is so warm and "human". She does speak slowly so I watched most of the video on 1.25 speed. And the content is just perfect! As a beginner, I've been trying art class after art class trying to understand something. I didn't know what was missing so I couldn't ask for it. This was the missing piece of the puzzle. The very simple techniques for getting the colours and all their variations to interact with one another.
