Choose the right way to learn drawing.

The strong point of my course is that it is based on the same method that professional artists use: learning the basics of academic drawing and developing your visual and spatial thinking.

My name is Andrey Samarin. I am a professional artist and draughtsman. To describe my school in one sentence, I would say, I have taught to 18000 happy students in 17 years and have one million followers in social networks.

We shall develop visual and spatial thinking. This is a crucial skill, that every artist needs to recreate a form in space.

We shall create a three-dimensional universe on a two-dimensional sheet of paper, using five vanishing points.

This is one of the most important exercises that every artist needs to do at least once in a lifetime. It is good both for beginners and those who can already draw well. 

Why do some people have a talent for drawing and others – not? To be talented means to have good visual thinking.  Basically, in this course we shall develop your natural ability to draw. What you get is you take your visual thinking to the level of a professional artist.

1. Introduction: Hi, My name is Andre Saw Maureen. I'm a professional artist and today I want to share an exercise with you that is the most important one in the whole process of learning to draw. If you're learning to draw, you need to do this exercise from beginning to end. At least once in your life. It's called universal perspective. Ended develops your visual and spatial thinking. But before we start, I want to explain to you why this is important. The thing is, today's drawing education market looks roughly like this. 10% are professional artists. They can draw anything either from life were out of their head. I'm sure you know such people, all the others trying to emulate professional artists, meaning they watch tutorials and speed videos or trying to copy their works. But I'll share a secret with you. What the difference between the two categories of people is, as a matter of fact, the first category never studied in the way that the second those 90% do. They didn't watch tutorials, didn't copy other people's works so much, but at some point they obtained academic education. Academic education chiefly develops your visual and spatial thinking. It is generally accepted that people who are developed in that way from their childhood i e . They can think in images. They are visual learners. This type of people are talented and likely to excel in drawing. Basically, talent is a developed visual learning channel. You probably heard there are people called Visual auditory and kinesthetic learners. There are also those who process information through the channel of logic. 40% of people are visual learners, 40% are kinesthetic learners. They learn through experience, 15% are auditory learners, and a mere 5% are a logical modality. Visual learners are those people who think images and who create in their mind three D models of objects when they do, when they can imagine the construction when they can fit it into the space correctly. After that, they can transfer the model on a two dimensional piece of paper. Basically, this is an ability either inborn or acquired through an academic program. In both cases, you can improve this channel. If you want to learn drawing, you should start correctly. What is usually advised us to learn by drawing something specific, say, an arm ahead or an eye. But this is not quite right, because if you draw something specific, it doesn't guarantee you can interpret this. Drawing in practice aren't freely on your own without guidance. Former ship. Take a pencil and I wish you success. Let's begin to learn correctly 2. Universal Perspective. The first part: Hello, everybody. We now move to one of the essential exercises of the course. It's called universal Perspective. Will do this exercise for you on a larger sheet of paper. You will do it on an eight to tried to use all the space you have.
