The Search for Tutankhamun (Part 1): Howard Carter and the Valley of the Kings is aimed at history students, who are studying this period at school or university, as well as those of you that have a general interest in history (and Ancient Egyptian history in particular).

In part one of the course, I take a detailed look at Howard Carter and his search for Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings, where you will:

  • Be given a detailed look at Howard Carter’s early life as an Egyptologist
  • Discover Carter’s relationship with his patron, Lord Carnarvon 
  • Learn all about the history of the Valley of the Kings
  • Find out about the many failed attempts to locate the Boy Pharaoh’s tomb prior to Carter’s discovery
