About This Class

This is an introduction to the magical world of digital photo book making, and in particular, to some of the software available for free download, or online, to make a book. Here I run through both options: downloadable, computer-based software as well as some of the best examples to be found online.

I also profile a couple of the companies that provide volume discounts for printing more than one book at a time. Not many do this, and those that do, don't offer much of a discount! You stand a much better chance by waiting till the book printing company has a sale - when you could pick up anything from 20% - 50% discount on your books. You'll also find a section here on editing your fabulous RAW photos using both Adobe Photoshop CC and Photoshop Elements.

The Photo Book Wizard is a comprehensive series of book making lessons designed to encourage students to go one step further than just making a book using automated layout and editing services,to make a publication that really stands out from the crowd.

Although the lessons are book software-centric, they also feature many tips and tricks with Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements and are rated for students with beginner-to-intermediate skills.

The Photo Book Wizard

Hello, My name is Robin.

I have been shooting photos for 40 years, commercially, for stock, for weddings, for audio visual designers and for editorial. I have also been a magazine editor and publisher for 15 years. During that time I authored several books on imaging technology and post production, so I think I'm in a good position to teach others how to get great looking images - and put them to good use, either by printing, or through the production of fabulously-designed photo books...
