About This Class

Within the next five years, the average workplace will consist of five different generations. From Traditionalists born prior to 1945 and Gen Z’s born after 1997, management teams need to develop new, innovative techniques to cope with conflicting personalities.

Each generation is unique in the way they work and think, and getting to know the typical characteristics of each age group can make managing staff as a whole lot easier and more effective. It is all about encouraging respect and communication (offline or online) at every level, and if conflict occurs the main focus is not to alienate an employee because of their age or experience.

Without effective and clear leaders, this cross-generational culture of many companies is slipping, and professionals must work to stabilize their generational leadership initiatives so their organizations can maintain a level of productivity that can compete in the modern business environment, and has the power to influence the new generations.

Join Nicole Le Maire (Global People Advisor @thepeopleengine) and build a route map for 2020, define the similarities of each generation, identify and understand the benefits and apply for personal and/or professional leadership challenges.

How it all started...

I worked my backside off in HR, Operations and Project Management for some major, diverse and amazing companies around the world.

Yet, while these high powered corporate days saw me working with employees at all levels and flexing my People Management muscles for boards and senior stakeholders. I was just not challenged enough! It was clear that I had to design my own working environment and be my own boss.

I also knew that I had to share my...
