That's a picture of me on the right hand side of the screen with my beautiful wife, Kim, and this presentation. This training is all about a book that I wrote not too recently about the self coaching. So it's It's all about how you can self coach yourself to small goals and using a process that will allow you to reach those goals in an in an easy way. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go through this presentation talking about the process that we use within the self coaching system. And then I'm going to go over some exercises that you can use using a pen and paper or your computer to identify your goals and follow them through the process so that you can reach them and obtain them in there quick manner. So I'd like to introduce you to the self coaching system. You know, most people don't have the money to hire a life coach. So what is the average hard working person to do? While many coaches life coaches at the Personal Coaching Centre, which suggests that you start off with self coaching after you complete this course, she'll be able to create create clear goals for yourself using the self coaching process. You will understand how to use this process so you could take control of your thinking and improve your life. You will have. The exercise is required to to complete the self coaching process and bring improvement to your life, and you'll be able to use the self coaching system for new goals as they appear. 3. Selfcoachingsystem2: In this first section of the training, we will discuss coaching and self coaching. We'll discuss when you should use both. What is self coaching? Well, self coaching is a step by step coaching process that people can personally use to make changes in their life or business. Self coaching is a viable solution for you to teach, to reach new goals and to get improved results. In order for this process to be successful, you need the right attitude, discipline and dedication. Is it time to self coach? Well, first things first. Most people want to know when they should try self coaching Well. Typically, the main reason people search out a coach is to make changes in their life. This change or changes can be either personal or professional in nature, such as seeking the promotion. Starting a difficult new project moving across country or making a career change could even be losing weight or trying to stop smoking. Any of those items convey be helped with a coach, so you need to find out where you need help. Which one of these items air Which item in your life, Uh, do you feel a physical sensation or a thought pattern related to something that is just not right. The's physical and mental responses will give you an indication of what you believe is good and not so good in your life. You may feel your health is okay, but your finances are not the best. So you try focusing on the area, requiring the most improvement. Most coaching professionals will wreck. Recommend that you focus on one area of your life at a time. Yes, it could take a month or even a year to complete that first goal. But do not move on to another goal until you're ready. So the key to self coaching is setting manageable smart girls. Your goals should be short and to the point. Keep your goals till 3 to 5 words so that you remember them. And your goals should also be smart, meaning they should be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely so you can do it. Your goal should be written out on a piece of paper or recorded on the computer. I would actually suggest both writing it out and typing it into your computer will strengthen the goal in your mind. For small, smart goals. It's easy for a person to follow, a process to improve their results on their own. And this is where self coaching comes in play. You know that you know what's most important in your life, who you want to become and the results you want to achieve. No one else knows you as well as you. So the growth coaching method now the growth coaching model was originally designed for executive coaching, but in this training we have modified it to be used as a self administer coaching process. We're using this model because of its effectiveness in helping you achieve results and success in your own life with the without the assistance of a coach. This model and the resulting process offers an effective framework to help you realize what's truly important in life. It can also keep you you your personal success and achievement process on track. So the coaching process, this growth Kurt coaching model is used in a similar manner as a compass to find a path in a general direction rather than a rigid sequence of steps. It can also be used in the PD. See a plan do check adjust cycle method commonly used in both business and in life for continuous improvement in this video, we have tried to give you an overview of the coaching process and the growth coaching model . In the next section, we will discuss goals and how to develop specific ALS that you can obtain. See you in the next video. 4. Selfcoachingsystem3: In this lecture, we will discuss goals, which is the G in the growth model. When you complete this lecture, you will understand how to make the best goals so that you can achieve them and be successful in the self coaching process. G is for goal. Ask yourself, what do I really want to achieve? What is my ideal outcome? It is very important to set a specific goal at the very beginning of this process. Better still, please identify a goal that is smart, I e. It is specific, specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound. The growth process helps to assure this remember, only set goals that inspire you. Goal achievement requires commitment, patience, persistence and perseverance. So to maximize your chances of gold setting success, remember to make sure that your goals are both inspiring and relevant to you. It's also important to have goals that match with your values. Otherwise, you will keep putting up barriers in your way subconsciously, by exploring the reality of your goals, it can help to uncover your values and self limiting beliefs. And goals are often redefined and revised in view of this situation. So these are some questions that you can ask yourself in the first part of the process of the gold questions, you know, one of the goals I want to achieve. Why am I hoping to achieve these goals? Who else needs to know about the plan that I have? How lie informed those people? What do I want more in my life? What would I try now if I knew I couldn't fail? What am I aiming for in the long, medium and short term? And when would I like to reach those goals? There's several other types of questions you can ask based around the goal question, but these were just a few that I thought I'd mention. So you need to create a schedule to put your plan into action. Start immediately to complete a small action that will build towards your goal. As you complete in action, complete our begin another action until all actions are completed. Never reach your current goal without setting another higher goal. And lastly, never quit. Always move forward towards your goal, especially when obstacles get in your way. So self coaching goal setting. Everybody knows that gold setting is a habit that separates the top 5% of the people in the world. This 5% of the ones getting things done in making improvements in their life. It's not a secret that this goal setting has helped him achieve those goals. Follow the simple, self directed goal setting system. Ask yourself to decide exactly what you want and write it down on a piece of paper, then write down on the paper when you want to be completed by list all the reasons, feelings and emotions you have about the goal in one column. Determine and record the expected obstacles in your way. On another column. What habits and attitudes must you change? Outline your plan to achieve these goals that your goal and asked some important questions of yourself. Like Do I believe in my plan? Can I work? This plan is the goal worth the price and create a scheduled to put that plan into action? I hope that the information from this video you found useful and understanding importance of gold setting you'll be able to use this information as we proceed through the remainder of the training. See you in the next video 5. Selfcoachingsystem4: Welcome back in this lecture, we will discuss the simple, self directed goal setting system. When you complete this lecture, you'll understand how to start completing actions towards your goal. So in this simple, self directed gold setting system, ask yourself to decide exactly what you want and write it down on a piece of paper. I've said that before. I'll say it again. Write it down. List all the really reasons feelings emotions you have about the goal. Determine and record the expected obstacles that could come in your way on another call and list the habits and attitudes that you must change. Outline your plan to achieve your goal. Create a schedule to put your plan into action. Start immediately to complete a small action towards your goal. Asked as you complete one action, begin another until all actions are completed and never reach your current goal without setting another higher goal. Lastly, never quit. Always moved towards your goal, especially when obstacles get in your way. So self directed affirmation statement. To help you reach your goals, we suggest using a self directed affirmation statement. This is a paragraph written in first person tents that describes a person's goal and how they reached that goal. It also includes all the feelings and emotions you have about the goal. A plan to reach the goal in any habits or attitudes affecting the goal. It is read out loud repeatedly causing your self image to change. As your self image changes, you will become that person described in the self directed affirmation statement. Your performance now will be subconsciously improved permanently. There are only two possible outcomes. With this technique, you will become the person that you want to, or you will end up quitting and continue the same results as you have in the past. It is that simple. You have to also understand that using the self directed affirmation statement, it's not something that is going to occur today. It's something that you have to repeat and repeat and repeat until you I have subconsciously move that affirmation statement into your head so that it can't be removed. When your self image changes, your performance will change along with the that result, so there are four important tasks you must be willing to undergo. Change and move beyond your comfort zone. You must identify the habits and attitudes that you need to change. You can set up a new self image that is in conflict with your old one. A more positive one, and replace of it, you must adopt this new positive self image. Remember, nothing is going to change unless you change. In this lecture, we discussed the simple self directed gold setting system and the self directed affirmation statement. I hope that you found this information useful and informative. If you have any questions, please let us know and we'll see you in the next video. 6. Selfcoachingsystem5: In this lecture, we will discuss the are or reality portion of the growth coaching method. When you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to get to understand your current reality. So reality. What is the truth about the situation? What is your current status? At the beginning of the reality process, you need to evaluate your life. Here. You will examine the vital areas of your current life reality and raid it on hell. Well, you're doing with it. These questions will guide you through this process of evaluating in order for you to move to this next step. So are for reality. Discovering your reality. As you evaluate your life, you will discover a lot that you didn't consciously think about before. Here, you will see positive negative aspects of your life. You will discover the care, the areas of your life that you need to work on your personal assets and characteristics. You will also discover the behaviors that you need to get rid of improved or keep self awareness is achieved through this process, and a sense of individuality is gained In this process. You will start discovering yourself So here are some questions that you can ask yourself when you're trying to determine your current reality. One of the questions is, What do I see is happening at the moment around me? What have I done so far to achieve my goal? What is my main concern around the school? What resources do I have to help me with this goal? What might be holding me back? Why haven't I reached the goal already? What do I think? It's stopping me? What do I think? Other people's perception of the situation is. Do I know other people who have achieved a school? What have I already tried? And how could I turn this around this time? So these thes air, just some of the reality questions that you can ask yourself. It's not an, uh, all the questions you can ask, but it is a sample of the questions that you can ask yourself in the reality section. So again, make sure you write down as many items of each of these questions. So if you have two or three responses to each questions, write them down, brainstorm on paper until you've exhausted all possible responses to each of the questions above in the self coaching process, we suggest writing them in the first person as we did with the goal setting exercise. Without fully understanding your reality, it's hard to come up with actions and options that will actually work for you to move forward. This could be a limiting factor in the self coaching process, because often two people discussing the topic will bring about additional responses. If the goal or problem is too complex than using a life or business, coach will help you obtain additional information that will help you in the long term. In this lecture, we have discussed the are or reality part of the growth coaching process. I've hoped you found this information useful and informative. If you have any questions, please let us know. See you in the next video. 7. Selfcoachingsystem6: Welcome back in this lecture, we will discuss the O or options questions for the growth coaching process. When you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to find options to reaching your goal. So options, what choices do you have to change your reality and reach your goal? What alternatives are there available? Generating options is a creative process that is stimulated by asking the right kinds of open ended questions to suspend all judgment and self criticism. And that's the key in this process is you have to be willing to put down all options regardless of whether you think you can do them or, you know, other people have told you you can't. So by maintaining interest and by challenging yourself just when you think you cannot come up with another idea, you will keep on challenging yourself. Write down as many answers to each of the option questions as possible. So here are some option questions that you can ask yourself. What could I do to move myself one step forward to achieving my goal? What are all the different ways I could approach this problem? What else could I do. What if I knew that I couldn't fail? What would I do? Have a good think of three more things. What would they be? What else could I do? What else? Anything else? What next? What could be the first step? Who might be able to help me? What would happen if I did nothing? What has worked for me already? How could I do more of that? And what do I said? What would I suggest to a friend or colleague in a simmer? Similar situation. So these were just some of the questions that you can ask yourself in the options section In this section, we have discussed the O or option questions of the growth coaching model. In the next section, we will discuss the will questions of the growth coaching process. So see you in the next video. 8. Selfcoachingsystem7: Hi. Welcome back to the course. In this lecture, we will discuss the W, which represents the will questions of the growth coaching process. When you complete this course, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to develop the actions you will use to create your goals and to reach them. So will is what will I do? Which options will I really enjoy doing Because it is part of the life I want? Which ones am I willing to do, regardless of how much work it takes? Which one will I actually do? Because it will take me nearer to the goal or my dream? This is where commitment comes in. This is the step just before action or implementation. The next step required requires your full commitment. You need to write down what you're willing to agree to and include a timetable with a commitment statement in order for you to take action. So you ask yourself these types of questions during the will process, you ask which of my options best looks like or sounds like the best. Which options would take me nearer to my long term goal, which options would give me the most satisfaction on a scale of 1 to 10. How committed I am I to this goal? Who? What I need to know or what I need to tell about achievement of this goal. Who wouldn't need to talk to first? And who is everybody that needs to know what would increase my success rate? What will happen at what cost to me? If I don't do anything, how will I know this is completed with satisfaction, and how am I going to do this? What's the first step? And when do I take that step? Could anything stop me? And what are the risks? So the power of will you need to remember that it can be really hard to get rid of all habits and develop new ones, especially if you had them for years. But by following this process, you could move closer to your dreams. Your commitment to the process and actions must be strong. You are not just improving your life, but in some cases you have two men your broken spirit. To become the best you can be. You will require new habits that are actually good for you. You will. You get to improve on different fields of your life in the growth process, you're willing to participate, is needed your willingness. Basically, it is helping me to see the benefits and outcomes as you develop a plan to obtain success. So in this lecture, we've discussed the will questions of the ghost growth coaching process. I hope you found the information useful and informative. If you have any questions, please let us know and we'll see you in the next video. 9. Selfcoachingsystem8: In this lecture, we will discuss the tea or tactics portion of the growth coaching process. When we when you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to determine the tactics that you will use to reach your goals. So what are tactics? What is my plan, procedure and timeframe for completing this action and obtaining my desire results? And how will I do it? What strategies will I use? How can I hold myself accountable for the actions that I need to take? So how and by when will I be able to do this? Here are some tips for tactic development You can use these tips to give yourself some additional ideas on how to go about this, so the first thing is is to identify your needs. Identifying your needs is away that you will understand by mapping them to tactics and up to Lord your goal established your success matrix based on the growth evaluation. Having a measurement of for your success allows you to measure the effectiveness of the tactics and plans that you're using. So you also have to understand your investment. There's different costs associated with attempting to obtain any goal, and there's one is personal cost. What will be the personal cost to these tactics and changes in my life? How will I deal with both positive and negative costs that come out of my actions? Process costs. One of the total cost of this process are the benefits I am think I'm going to attain by reaching this goal and changes made in my life worth the costs of the engagement in this process. And are there any hidden costs? Have I missed any hidden costs that I should be considering? What will I do if a cost that I'm not aware shows up? So when you consider tactics, here are a few questions you can ask yourself for each of the goals that you set out, How and when will I do this action by what is my plan to do this? What support do I need to get this done? What are three actions that Aiken take that would make sense this week? That's very important. And on a scale of 1 to 10 how excited do I feel about taking these actions? How do I need or what do I need from myself or others to achieve these goals and how I know when I've done him, who will I involved in this process? When will I do this? And specifically one actions will I take and when will I carry them out? What specific steps would I take next? And how will it help me meet my goal? And when you're thinking about tactics, taking that initial first step towards your goal and taking the action that you need to is very important. That gets you started and allows you to build on it. And it could be very small action step. But it's it's necessary to take one right away. So when we look at tactics, there are certain benefits. Some benefits can be quantified. These include personal costs, increases in wages, productivity changes, time and quality. Thes represent can be represented by hard data in a spreadsheet, er or in a word document. Other benefits from taking action are more difficult to quantify but are equally important , including your morale. Creativity boosts feeling of accomplishment and personal culture shifts. As you develop your tactics for reaching your goals and the results you desire, you may want to consider some of the attributes of a good leader. Some of these will pertain to your goals and actions, while others may not. These are ideas to reduce your limitations and help you develop more tactics and actions to help you reach your goal quicker. In this lecture, we've discussed the Tactic portion of the growth coaching model. In the next section, we will discuss how creating habits can help you reach your goals that you want to obtain. See you in the next video. 10. Selfcoachingsystem9: In this lecture, we will discuss the H, which represents the habits portion of the growth coaching process. When you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to create better habits that can sustain your goals. So H is for having so when you think about habits, you need to think about what type of new actions or behaviour patterns you will regularly follow until these actions become almost involuntary to help you reach your desired goal. And when you think of a habit, have it is an involuntary action or thought process that you use that you don't even have to think of. That's why toe have it. You don't have to think about breathing. It's a habit that you breathe. So how would you commit to your success over time? And what actions will you maintain to assure you reach your goals and how you incorporate these new goals into your life to assure continued success. So how will you sustain your sister success when you start the process of making new habits to obtain your goals and sustain your success, you may want to consider the seven step, simple steps to developing good habits. This amounts to identifying the heaven. Make a decision and then commit to the change. Discover your triggers and obstacles. Devise a plan. Employees, visualization and affirmations list support from family and friends and find healthy ways to reward yourself. So here are some habit type questions that you can use to think about how you're going to sustain your actions to reach your goals. So what are some good habits, too? That I already have that could help me reach my goal. On what habits do I need to change to maintain my goal? What is my plan to sustain my success? And can I break this plan down into manageable steps? Can you sustain each of these steps until they become involuntary activities? This usually takes 30 to 45 days. What activities are you going to have to give up to allow for this new habit? Todo be developed craps. You gotta watch less TV so that you can take courses on you to me, which is always great. So here's some additional questions that you can ask. Have you committed to the change that will result in this habit? Will you tell others about the habit you are trying to form and why you're doing it. And can you develop an affirmation statement around this habit to remind yourself of its importance to your success? So start with one habit and choose your activities widely. The mistake I've made in the past is to start with a lot of new habits all at once, and a lot of people do this like, you know, at the beginning of the year. People make a whole bunch of New Year's resolutions but never stick to them because they usually make a long list of different habits They're trying to obtain. That long list of new goals and habits you want to accomplish can be overwhelming, and most people just simply give up. So I suggest you start with one small habit at a time, and once that have it becomes part of you, and it's a habit you can start working on the next one. The next step is to write down your habit that you want to fall, so write down your habits somewhere where you could see every day. Maybe you could write it on a post it note and put it on your desk or vanity mirror. I personally write it down in my day planner every day, so I don't forget. But obviously just writing it down won't help you achieve that. Have it. You need to set reminders and fit them into your schedule. This is the one thing that has helped me stick to have it because I consider reminder for it, for example, a while back I wanted to start practicing gratitude every day. But there would be some days when I just simply forget to do it and affirmations as well. So what I did was I set an alarm on my watch during the day, and when it went off, I spend 15 minutes, Ah, day writing down in my journal for what I was grateful for. And I would also repeat my affirmation statements. Once I did this for about a month, it became a part of me, and I didn't really need that reminder anymore. Uh, but I mean, it's still there, but usually I do without to remind here. And when it goes off, I just acknowledge it. Not only did this help me remember to practice gratitude, but by doing this, it helped me rewire my brain to feel grateful for everything that I have instead of focusing on what I lack. Step for the habit processes tracking your progress so every day do your best to track your process. Sit down and reflect on the day because you need to see how you're doing. And if you're actually practicing the habit that you're set up to do every day and Step five is celebrating your winds. If every week that goes by you are progressing and the habit is becoming part of you, don't forget to reward yourself a little. It's not easy to keep up good habits. It takes discipline and practice for habit to become part of you, to be involuntary. We usually tend to go after one thing, and then once we attain that, we go after the next thing. We never sit down and appreciate all the hard work we put into accomplishing one goal, so make sure you celebrate your winds before moving to the next one. So I have a couple of tips on, you know, checking in with yourself so you can stay on the right track as you move for developing healthier habits. pay special attention to how you feel as you incorporate them into your life. Does your new practice seem to fit into your lifestyle and personality is easy to maintain the new habit? Or do you think you may need to try something new if you find that you haven't kept up with the new plans as you toke rather than beating yourself up about it, congratulate yourself for noticing and change your plants so that you can reincorporate that have it. This is very important, as it's the first step in building a new plan that will better serve you. And if you're you know, just trudging along with it. But you decide that you really may need to try something else. Instead. At least you know what doesn't work for you. And now you can try something else so that you can end up reaching your goals. Tip two is stay informed when I want to grab it to become a habit and something that I did every day. I read books about gratitude. I watched videos, I read articles so that I wouldn't forget about it, and it helped me make it a part of me so that I'm a different person now and I liken better . Appreciate what I have. Tip number three. Don't be too hard on yourself. You have to be patient with yourself and have confidence that you can achieve any good. Have it you want. As long as you never give up. There will be some days. Trust me. There will be some days that you forget. But don't let that discourage you. Just see, every day is a fresh new start. Stick to your have it and never give up because in due time it will become part of you. So in this lecture we've talked a lot about habits in the growth coaching process. I hope you found the information useful and informative. If you have any questions, please let us know and we'll see you in the next video. 11. Selfcoachingsystem10: in this lecture, we will get into how to use the exercises of the self coaching process to obtain results. When we when you complete this lecture, you will understand how using these exercises can help you reach your goals. So this is the second part of the training, and it's all about the exercises. It's going through the simple questions news in the personal self coaching process that you are required to answer. You need to answer them truthfully and completely to ensure that you obtained the results you're looking for and again. This is all about you doing it yourself and working with yourself. So there's nobody that's going to be questioning you or demanding things from you. It's all about what you are asking yourself and what you're committing to yourself that you're going to do, which I find very, very important from experience. The self administrate model is effective in helping most people obtain small and medium goals. However, if you require additional assistance for larger and complex schools and we suggest you engage a life for business coach to assist you in the full growth coaching model, so one step number one you need to write down the important goals that you want to achieve . So I suggest you brainstorm and look, you know, start writing things down that you really want toe achieve. Don't limit yourself to just 10 items, right? Thumb down. Think about it. Process. You know, different goals. Maybe make some for your home life, your health, your finances, your you know, your your business life, etcetera. You're not going to focus on all of them at once, but write them all down. So you need to understand these goals. So when you're thinking of goals, let's go back to the gold questions. We reviewed it first. So think about you know what are the goals I want to achieve? Why am I hoping to achieve this goal? Who else needs to know about the plan to achieve this goal and how? Lying for them? What do I want more of in my life on? What would I try now if I knew I couldn't fail? What am I aiming for in the short, medium and long term? When would I like to have reached this? How will I know when I've achieved it? What will it look, feel and sound? like on What could I work on now that would make the biggest difference in my life. So when you look at these questions, it allow you to build upon all the goals that you on in the different aspects of your life . So once you've you know, as you're going through the goals, you take Step two. So look at all the goals you wrote down on your list. And I'm hoping that you wrote down, you know, a lot of them. So which one of them is most important to you? That's what you want to think about. You know, uh, complete. Once you determine which one and only one that you want to focus on, that becomes your primary goal and you're going to follow the process. The remainder process with that one goal in mind. So step number three is based upon smaller tasks. How long will it take me to achieve my goals? That goal, That one goal. Do I commit 100 per cent to achieve this goal? And what reward will I give myself once I achieve this goal? So those are the things you want to think about. So in this lecture we started talking about the self coaching exercise process and how we can use it to decide on which goals were going to focus on. So I hope you found this information useful and informative. If you have any questions, please let us know and I'll see you in the next video. 12. Selfcoachingsystem11: So when this lecture, we will ask some questions about your current reality so that you can write them down and move closer to obtaining the goal that you folk that we're going to focus on for the remainder of this exercise. So when we complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to create understanding about your current reality as it relates to that one goal. So thinking about the goal that you set in the goal setting process of the exercise, you selected one goal that you want to focus on. So, thinking about that goal, what do I want to see is happening at the moment around that goal. What have I done so far towards this one goal? What is the main concern around this goal? And what resources do I have to help me with this goal? Currently, when you think about this one goal, what might be holding you back? What haven't I reach? Why haven't you reached the school already, and why do I think it's stopping me from reaching the goal? What do I think? Other people's perception of the situation is And think about this one do I know other people who have cheat who have achieved this one goal. So when you, you know, gone through this process, you want to then go into the reality questions and thinking about that one goal again. Uh, ask yourself, What have I already tried? And how could I turn this around this time? What could I do better this time? On a scale of 1 to 10? How severe, serious or urgent is the situation around the school? And how is the current situation affecting me or others? What are the factors I need to consider? Do I need anybody else to participate in this conversation with me? How urgent is the situation for me? How long my success failure at addressing this goal affect the rest of my life for business ? And who else do I believe shares my concern to find a solution? How will I feel to handle to have this handled? So once you've gone through the reality portion of the process, you will then take this print out and right down strengths that you have that can help you achieve this goal that you that you've set for yourself. This one goal that you've set for yourself and you want to write down, you know, three or four different strength that you have that will help you reach that goal. So in this lecture, we've asked some questions around your current reality and hopefully you've wrote them down . And you've taken notes so that you can build on this information in the next section. So in the next session, we will build upon the process by looking at various options you have around the school. So we'll see you in the next video. 13. Selfcoachingsystem12: in this lecture, we will ask some questions about your current and future options so that you can write them down and move closer to reaching your goal that you set in the first part of this exercise . So when you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to create a better understanding of your options. So here the option questions again. Now again, I want you to think about the one goal that we're talking about and the different realities that you've put around that goal in your thinking and then take that goal and look at the options that you have. So what could I do to move myself one step forward to achieving this goal? What are all the different ways I could approach this? And what else could I do? What if I knew I couldn't fail what I do to obtain this goal? If I could think about three more things, what would they be? What else could I do? What else? Anything else and what's next? What could be the first step that I take? So these are all options that you need to consider when you're looking at your goal. Additional option questions to ask yourself are. Who else might be able to help me? What would happen if I did nothing? What has worked for me before with other goals? How could I do more of that towards this goal? What do I said? What would I suggest you? A friend in a similar situation? What would happen if I did that activity? What is the hardest, most challenging part of that for me? What advice would I give a friend about the challenge? What would I gain lose by doing or saying that if somebody did or said that to me, what would I think about what would happen next? What are the best or worse things that can happen with this option? And which option do I feel ready to act on? On a scale of 1 to 10? What am I going to take that action? So when this lecture, we've asked some questions around your current options and you wrote them down in the next section will build upon this process by looking at the various actions and will statements that you can make. See you in the next video 14. Selfcoachingsystem13: Welcome back in this lecture, we will ask some questions about what will you do? This will allow you to write these actions down so that you can move closer to reaching your goal that you sat in the first of this exercise. So when you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions need to ask yourself to create activities that you can begin and start moving forward with. So when we think of will questions these air more, what will you do? You can ask yourself which of my options feels best, seems best looks best and sounds best, which would take me nearest to my long term goal. Which action would give me the most satisfaction. And on a scale of 1 to 10 how committed I am I to this goal? What action would have happened to know if I achieve that goal? Who do I need to talk to first and who else needs to know additional will questions include what would increase my success rate, you know, handling fear, uh, clearer steps, more support from somebody What would happen and what is the cost? If I do nothing about this, and how will I know this is completed with satisfaction. How am I going to do this? Action? What is this first step in the process to do this action? And when am I going to do it? Can anything stop me from completing this action? And what are the risk of taking action? So when you think about the goal, you think about the the reality that you have in the options that you currently have modeled and written down. You can then look at the actions you need to take. So write down. You know which actions do I need to take to achieve this goal, analyze the goal and break it down to the small, actionable steps. If a goal cannot be broken down into actions and tasks, then obviously it's way too general, and you need to be more specific with your goal. So what I suggest you do is you write down, you know, 5678 actions that you can take and itemize them one at a time so that you know where to start and where you're going to finish. So in this lecture, we've asked him questions about what can and will you do and you wrote them down in the next section. We will continue to build upon these will responses by looking at what tactics you can use . See you in the next video. 15. Selfcoachingsystem14: Hi and welcome back to the course In this lecture, we will ask some questions about the tactics that you'll use so that you can write them down and move a little bit closer to reaching your goal. So when you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to develop tactics related to it reaching your goal. So when we look at tactic questions, here are some things you can ask yourself, How and when will I do this action? What is my plan to do this? What support do I need to get it done? What three actions can I take this week that makes sense to me on a scale of 1 to 10? How excited do I feel about taking these actions? What do I need from myself or others to help me achieve this? How will I know when I've done it? Who will I involved in this and when will I do this? So think about that in relation to the one goal that we set out in this exercise so specifically, what actions will I take and when will I carry them out? What specific steps would I take next. And how will that meet my objective or goal? Here are some additional tips for tactic development that you can use, uh, when thinking about ideas. So identify your needs. Identify your needs in ways that you will understand by mapping them to the tactic and then up to the goal. So make sure you you pinpoint them all the way up to reaching your goal. So again, writing things down really assist with that and so will a mind map. I use the mind that quite often when I'm thinking about a goal, I'll base it on. Ah, the goal will be my CenterPoint. And then I'll look at the different, uh, reality options actions or will and the tactics and then the habits that I need to form to create the that goal. So established news Success metrics. Based on the growth evaluation, making a major mint for your success allows you to measure the effectiveness of each tactic and plan that you come up with so understanding in the investment again there's with every goal. There is an investment. This investment could be personal, so it could be personal costs. What will the personal cost of these tactics and changes in my life be. And how will I deal with both positive and negative costs that come from my actions? So write that down. How will you deal with it? Process costs one of the what's a total cost of this process that I'm undertaking to achieve this goal. So when you think about that, think of one of the benefits I will obtain from reaching my goal and the changes made in my life, are they worth the costs of engaging in the process? And that could be a yes, no answer. Or you can be, you know, more detailed answer. Depending upon the goal that you're you're thinking about, then lastly, you need to think about the hidden cost. You know, think about anything that you've missed that you should be considering when it comes to the cost factor. And when you think of that, think what will I do if a cost that I have not, you know, been made aware of shows itself? Think of what will you do, whether it's a personal cost or a process costs. Is it a financial impact? Is it a time impact? How will you handle that and just write it down. So in this lecture, we've asked some questions about your tactics and you wrote them down. So in this next lecture, we will build upon the process by looking at building habits around your tactics. See you in the next video. 16. Selfcoachingsystem15: So in this lecture we will ask some questions about your current habits and how you can change your habits so that you move closer to reaching your goal that you've set out in this exercise. So when you complete this lecture, you will understand what questions you need to ask yourself to create better habits that will allow you to obtain that goal. So when you think about habits, think of you know what you need to start doing and what you need to stop doing to help you achieve that goal. And I usually like to break that down into a little form, a little table, writing down everything that I believe I need to start doing and doing regularly repeatedly . So I need to build them into habits in overtime. I could do that so you can list 3 to 5 of items that you need to he think any to develop in order to make that happen, and then you also want to think of OK, well, you've only got 24 hours in the day. So what other habits should you stop so that you have time to build in the new habits you want to develop so that you can easily obtain your your bowling rejected. So ask yourself a distant additional questions. Like, What are some good habits? Uh, I already have. That could help me reach my goal. What habits do I need to change to obtain my goal? What is my plan to sustain my success once I reached the goal, you want to sustain it? So what are you going to do to do that? And can you break this plan down into manageable steps and actions? Can you sustain each of these steps until they become an involuntary activity or have it which could take 30 to 45 days? Additional questions are what activities are you going to have to give up to allow this new habit to be developed? Are you committed to this change from this current habit that it's a bad habit? Will you tell others about the new habit you're trying to form and why you're doing it? And can you develop an affirmation statement around this habit to remind yourself of its importance to your success? So you need to think about what skills and knowledge you need to develop and make into a habit or to build into the process to achieving your goal. So the next step would be to write down any new skills or knowledge that you believe you need to have to achieving your goal. And again, you're gonna work down 5 to 10 different skills or knowledge items that you need to help you reach that goal. When you're looking at this new habit or actions that you need, don't be scared of taking the first step. Ask yourself what's the worst thing that can happen for each and every action that you are nervous about or reluctant to take? Then proceed to answer that question for each action. Most cases you'll never obtain the worst case scenario. So if you think that the worst thing that's gonna happen is X, you're probably only going to end up. You know, Jay, anyway. So you can still take that action and not worry about really the the worst thing that's gonna happen, because it won't happen after you thought about the worst thing that can happen. Flip that question on its lid and ask yourself, Well, what's the best thing that could happen if I take this action somewhere in between. The best thing and the worst is where you're gonna land. So that gives you your boundaries and allows you to to feel comfortable with taking the next step to taking that action. Get into a habit of flipping any negative thinking you have into positive thinking when looking at your actions. There was always good and bad and everything that you do. So if you focus on the positive outcomes of your actions, you are more likely to take the step forward towards your goal. The actual worst thing that could happen is never as bad as you think it is. When you really analyze it, there are a few actions for improving your life that are going to cause you serious or mental harm. There are very few, hardly any. We may think inaction is risky, but when we really look at it objectively, Ah, lot of this reluctance is about changing in our mindset. Change is never easy, but if you work through your negative thoughts and make them positive, you're well on your way to achieving your goal. The next step that I do is writing down my progress. So what is working well when thinking about my accomplishments and what do I need to change or improve? So again, you're gonna want to write down some of your, you know, based upon your progress that you're making towards that goal, what's working well and what isn't. And how can you change what isn't into more like what? ISS working well, And that's the big question. And again, you want to ask yourself who can help me achieve this goal faster and just write down the person's name? Maybe you want to talk to them. So when you complete this self coaching exercise, you will have determined your primary goal and a process to bring it to completion. So that's what we've done through this entire exercises. We taken one goal, just one, and we've gone to the growth coaching model, asking yourself questions based upon each of the sections of the growth coaching model. And by doing that, we built a process that will allow you to bring that gold to completion. If you follow the steps and you take action, so the results did you get from following this self directed coaching model will be equal to the effort you put into following the process and answering the questions that we've gone over and taking the action that is key. You need to take action, whether it's in filling out the exercises, whether it's taking action about a particular item, that will help you reach your goal. It's all about you taking the action. So I have to let you know that many people have used the same process to bring about life changing growth within their lives. I certainly have, and I know others that I've coached who have done that as well. So whether you have a personal life goal such as losing weight or finding a new career, the process to follow is the same. This is also true for business related goals. As stated above this personal self growth results. Coaching exercise is suitable for small and medium sized goals. When you're doing self coaching, it is best to focus on one goal or one result of the time. If you have more complex schools required, uh, you know, taking multiple steps towards the goal all at once, and you may want to consider getting involved with the personal life coach a life coaches trained in helping people get the best results on larger products projects following the same process. So in this lecture, we've asked some questions about building better habits and you wrote them down.
