About This Class

The Christmas Truce (Part One): The Road to War is aimed at history students, who are studying this period at school or university, as well as those of you that have a general interest in history (and World War I history in particular).

In part one of the course, I take a detailed look at the different factors that led to World War I:

  • The diplomatic tension across Europe in 1914
  • The Arch-Duke Franz Ferdinand and his friendship with Kaiser Wilhelm II
  • An unlikely assassination in Sarajevo
  • The politics and Intrigue, which ultimately led to the outbreak of war

So go ahead and enrol in my class and I look forward to seeing you on the inside.
