1. Introduction: Hi, everyone, and welcome to my skill share class In this class, I will be talking about the basics of Premier Persik CS six. When we look at any video editor for the first time, it seems shocking and almost too difficult and complex to actually learn how to use in this class. I'll be simplifying Adobe Premiere Pro CS six. Once learned, the software is so easy and comfortable to use. Plus, you always have the chance to learn more of the advanced functions in the software. Since it's not a basic software, this is a great software for any film editor. For any cinematographer. For anyone who's editing any videos, it could be for YouTube. It could be for family vacations. We all need these video editing skills to help edit and make our video's amazing. But before we go on to the advanced functions, we need to understand the basics. So join me in this class and understanding the basics of premier pro CS six. That includes trimming, adding videos, importing, exporting, zooming in, zooming out, adding effects, color correction, adding titles, all of the things you've probably been looking for to make the person the perfect family vacation video are here in my class. So join my class today. Indoor. It's not so hard, Trust me. It'll be very easy once you once you get in and you learn the basics. So I joined my class to date. 2. Part 1: Understanding Adobe: Hi, everyone. Thank you for joining my class on the basics of Premier Pro CS six. Now what is a Doobie Premiere Pro? Now this is a video editing software, and it's a timeline video editing app. Developed by Adobe Systems and published as a part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Licensing program. It is geared towards professional video editing but can also be used for simple video editing as well. The newest version is called the Adobe Premiere Pro Sisi. However, the in this class we're going to be looking at Adobe Premiere Pro CS six In particular, there isn't a lot of differences between the newer software and the older software. If you learn the old one, it will also help you understand the new one, too. So what can you do with it? You could edit movies, audios videos very professionally, but if you want, you can also make nice family memory videos. Then why is it helpful to use? So with Adobe Premiere Pro CS six, it is easy to use. Um, it has speed, and it is very simple to export videos. And once it's learned, once the basics Air learned, it is actually very comfortable to work with, uh, later on, you might want to dig into advanced functions. You can always do that as it is a very professional software. So if you decide later on, you want to do more professional editing. That is always an option available for you. You don't have to deal with online video editors, which could be a whole lot of trouble sometimes, especially with editing long videos. It has a lot to offer that you may not find and simple video editors like color, corrupted color, correct ings after green screen and much more. There's a lot of effects you can try with it. It's confusing at first when you first see it because it seems a little overwhelming, but eventually you get the hang of it. This is a very amazing software to use for almost anyone, and once you learn it, it is not a scary as it seems to be. So let's get going with how to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS six 3. Part 2; All the Basics: you click this export button right here. And then this will render the video. And once it's published, it will show up into the into the folder you saved it to. So what? This name right here is going to be the name of the video when you submit it. And then the other thing you can do is export. Using adobe encoder, you open up the same page. You select how much of the video you want. Exports of these little triangles at the side will determine how much you want to export. And you click the button. Cue. This will open adobe encoder where you'll continue the exporting Basically. What? Okay, so you have your video right here and you click this blabber and right here and this will export your video. So the exporting has started. Once it has completed, it will save to the document. You've saved it in, which is basically the documents for it. Here. You can always click on this link. So thanks once again for watching this glass. It was great being with you. And I hope to see you next time in one of my other class 4. Part 2 (1): All the Basics: speed that's faster than the other reviews. The other thing you can do is you can close up onto your timeline kind of like this. So if let's say your videos are very tiny and you want toe, you want to try toe, tweak them and you can't see them. You just click this button right here, and you can control how close you are on the timeline. And then now we have more of a closer look and we can bring this closer to it and let's say we want to make and you can always fix this back to normal. So let's say we want to put a little part of this and we want to make it slow. Use the reason tool. If this to the right and we're gonna do the same thing again, we're gonna go on speeds, less duration, gonna make it 500 or whatever you like. Let's make it 200 and then we have this again right here. Well, then, that we want We don't want this video to be too long. So we cook this part right here, and we keep it to this last pervert here. And let's say we want to add another video in between this begin. Always add another video. Let's say we want to add the same video again. We selected that selected, selected it. We put it on to our timeline and let's say we want to make it really fast, broiled the 1000% and then we have this pretty over here. Okay, so we've finally made or video. Now, the last two things I'm going to be talking about our the title and color correction. So we're gonna first go on to creating our title. Now, the title is already created here, but I'm going to show you how to create your own title. So you're going to go on this top? Darwish says, Title. You're going to click new title and then you're going to click Default. Still, what you're going to do is you're gonna have a name for the title, whatever you want to title it and then you're gonna click, OK, and after that, a title page will open up now, since it on this part of the video, this part of the video shows. But if we move it toe, let's say another part of the video. Let's say this part of the video we can see your title more clear, so we're gonna click default still again, title for and then we're gonna make our title. Let's say we want to make our title travel and then recon. Add another texture with the different font is and then making click on another font. Right title is fun and there we go. We got a title right here. We can change the size. We can change the bond where it looks a lot of things about so there's a lot of edits you can add to your title, and then you just click X here and it automatically saves you. Drag it on top of your video because that's when it will show and you keep that over there . Okay, so let's look at the video title here. So it's called We love to Travel and here we have the video open up. Okay, now the last thing I want to talk about this color correction because it's also really important. Now let's say we want a color card. This we're gonna do is we're gonna go on to effects, and we're going to go onto video effects. We have different video effects years, so let's go on to color correction. There's different color corrections you can add. There is brightness and contracts. Um, but I've already added some color correction effects. So the way you add unaffected, you drag it and you attach it to the video, and then it pops up into your effects controls. Right here. This is your effect controls where you can close up to the video. Zoom in. You can do quite a bit over here. 5. Part 2 (2): All the Basics: speed that's faster than the other reviews. The other thing you can do is you can close up onto your timeline kind of like this. So if let's say your videos are very tiny and you want toe, you want to try toe, tweak them and you can't see them. This is your effect controls where you can close up to the video. Zoom in. You can do quite a bit over here. 6. Part 2 (3): All the Basics: you can do quite a bit over here. You also have your ah color correcting tool. So if you want to, let's say at this color correcting tool and we have it, papa, but the bottom and then we can do a lot of things to it, then see, we could make green. Then we can add a little bit of blues color. Correcting just makes your videos look more enhanced and much more cinematic, Which is great to have here. And let's say when the lower down the greens. So, yes, as you can see, you can do quite a bit with color correcting tool. The other types of color correcting tools you can add are there's many different types here . Let's try change color. I'm gonna add a few of these coat correct er's. We have a lot so we can even fix that. Something like saturation. We consult radar image even more. We don't want to saturate that lunch, but you get the idea so you condemn finitely. Add the's color correcting effects. There's another one. It's called the fast color correcting tool. And then here you have, ah, hole under colors that pop up and so you can color Correct to your desire like that in this arrow is what you moved to color. Correct, which is great tap. This is a powerful to rule. This is a very powerful tool when coming when it comes to editing videos and making them look a little more cinematic. Okay, so that's color correcting and making titles. So next thing we're gonna go onto is exporting your video. You can export using this export button right here, and we're gonna click on media. But But there's two ways to export. You can export directly from Premiere Pro or you can use Adobe encoder. So we're gonna look at the two different ways. How? Let's say we want to export from premier Pro First, we're going to export from premier Pro by clicking this export, but and there's a bunch of settings you can fix your if you want, you can make it Blue Ray and these air just different options you have. Let's say we want to make it each 0.264 We make it like that on what we click is we click this export button right here and then this will render the video and once it's published, it will show up into the into the folder you saved it to. So what? This name right here is going to be the name of the video when you submit it. And then the other thing you can do is export. Using adobe encoder, you open up the same page. You select how much of the video you want. Exports of these little triangles at the site. 7. Part 2 (4): All the Basics: you click this export button right here. And then this will render the video. And once it's published, it will show up into the into the folder you saved it to. So what? This name right here is going to be the name of the video when you submit it.
