Project Description

Play a 12 Bar Blues Rock Shuffle In 6 Easy Steps!

This course will provide guitarists (and vocalists and other instrumentalists), with the tools and concepts required to play a 12 bar blues shuffle in the key of E and the tunes Sweet Home Chicago by Robert Johnson and Big Boss Man and Bright Lights, Big City by Jimmy Reed. Students can absorb and apply these lessons at their own pace and schedule and, when ready, record themselves playing one of these tunes. Vocalists and other instrumentalists are encouraged to complete the class and project by playing along with one of the available backing tracks!

Students will record themselves playing a 12 bar blues in A and create a movie or MP3 that can be loaded to YouTubeSoundCloud or any other platform that will generate a link that will be posted to the class' project gallery on Skillshare.
