About This Class

Welcome to the Art of Public Speaking! In this class we will put emphasis on the art. Learning how to communicate and share who you with an audience cannot be forced into a template. Instead these short, thoughtful, and fun lessons will help you dig deeper and come up with a personalized game plan for all of your public speaking needs.

Students will learn to identify their public speaking fears and joys. Everyone will leave with a better understanding of what causes stage right and how it can manifest itself. We’ll go through some practical exercises for breathing, stage presence and then get into the process of crafting a presentation that fully represents you. We’ll focus on preparation, practice, infusing story, and identifying your audience.

Every lesson will include a downloadable worksheet to guide you through your specific public speaking goals. Use each worksheet as a personal action plan, a place for self-reflection, or a jumping off point for class discussion. To access the worksheets, visit the YOUR PROJECT tab of the class.

This class is geared toward anyone who has to get up in front of people and speak. Whether you’re the founder of a start-up, a manager in a big company, a sales person meeting new clients on a daily basis, or an aspiring keynote speaker, this class will give you tools and strategies that you can put into practice right away.
