Project Description

Creative Color Experiment

You will either take an existing artwork or design, or create a brand new one... and then you will look at applying up to 4 different color palettes to that particular piece. You can also use the template pattern illustrator file in the class resources.

The color palettes we will create using a variety of methods. See how color can completely change your artwork.

There will be some fun project steps along the way including taking a look at your wardrobe and how what you wear can effect your mood.

STEP 1

Start by sharing with us your favorite color/s and why you are naturally drawn to this color

STEP 2

Share with us some photos of your favorite places, whether that's a coffee shop or a beach and tell us how the colors in those places make you feel. And then for those brave enough try experimenting with your wardrobe for a week and let us know how different colors made you feel... (I avoid wearing red for instance - so I really should wear it for a day and see how I feel!)

STEP 3

Either use an existing artwork of your own, create a new one or use the template provided for this class and create 4 different color palettes and apply it to your artwork - how does the color effect the mood of your art? please share your finding in the project gallery where I'll be regularly checking in.

Check out my sample project in the project gallery to help you along with each step... have fun!
