About This Class

In this class, we will plan to use an interesting visual object to teach educational concepts. You will think about visual material as a tool to engage your audience in your presentation topic. You will also plan to use labels as a way to connect the visual to your topic. This class features a completed presentation as an example. The example topics are standard science terms- potential energy, gravity, kinetic energy, conductivity, states of matter, and pressure. A Rube Goldberg machine, a machine that accomplishes a simple task in many steps and by definition is 'ingeniously or unnecessarily complicated in design or construction', is used as the engaging visual to teach the science terms.
