Project Description

Share the story of your creative project.

ASSIGNMENT

Your assignment is to share the story of your creative project. Get your audience as excited as you are!

Start writing in your Project Workspace with any/all of the following:

  1. Idea: what are the basics of your project? (jot down a few sentences)
  2. Audience(s): who will be most excited about this project? Is there more than one audience?
  3. Channels: where do these people hang out? What is the best way to reach them?
  4. Communications Story: what imagery, video, backstory etc. will you include to help sell your idea?
  5. Rewards: what can you give back to your project supporters to make them feel special?

You can use the attached worksheets (below) as a guide, but I encourage you to write freely and even include some images or sketches of the idea you're looking to launch into the world.

You can also start a draft of a Kickstarter campaign and use the story section to start trying out ideas, and even share drafts with fellow students.

If you're running into a creative block, phone a friend! Use your fellow classmates as a sounding board to get feedback on your idea before you launch.
